I'm gonna be vaguely pissed off whoever wins gold, so I'm just hoping it at least feels mostly fair to me. And... it mostly, does, so far? I thought C/B should win the TE RD, and I thought FB/C should win today.

So with that in mind I need to focus more on swimming in the next few years

Christ, all the twizzle critiques I have been reading online along with the over the top reaction Carol Lane would have to slight breaks in unison had me

Being right the middle of the audience, the reception for Laurence and Guillaume was pretty massive.

I was also in the audience and there was loud booing after the scores. (Not including me fwiw)

Well i just hope if FB/C do win they won't last until 2030 i want these older teams to finally retire and let the younger teams have the spotlight. FB/C are one of those older teams they aren't that much younger then G/P, Gui/Fab or C/B. But i'm worried with the Winter Olympics being in France in 2030 they will stick around and so a team that will be almost as old as Gui/Fab will be just awaiting their coronation as Olympic champions again. The though of that makes me want to vomit.

I think it's entirely likely that they will either stay in until 2030 or take 2 years off and come back in the pre-Olympic season. Which is why L/B need to consider changing countries ASAP.

People are going to hate Laurence and Guillaume for things not related to what they are putting out on the ice. It’s obvious and it’s not going to change. But they also have a huge contingent of big fans which people seem to think don’t exist.

No dance expert here…. but I do see how chobat skate slow in the twizzles, but their pair spin rotates faster than Beauciz, I think if I have to pick my top four it goes France, Piper and Paul, ZinKol, chobat or maybe Finland

When C/B score/placement announced, there were boos all around our area. (they were leading until the pattern step dropped on review)

I didn't see much difference in speed between C/B and FB/C. Twizzles included. (And that was also clear in the split screen view the Netflix series did when they were at GPF). Guillaume is faster. Laurence isn't. And the reason they were out of unison (and also at Euros) is b/c Guillaume didn't slow down enough to match Laurence. FB/C lift looked slower than C/B. As people commented on here, FB/C performance was slow and tentative. I'm not quibbling with C/B's level calls but I think FB/C were overscored in PCS.

Having seen P/C live and now Cizeron with replacement partner, P/C were a lot better. Maybe Guillaume is just showing his age.

That's a shame. It's hard to have to sit near someone like that and listen to all their negative comments. But, then again, if you punched him out, you'd be watching from the parking lot (if not behind bars). Sigh .....

They were a bit slower than some others. But their twizzles had every other positive aspect about them - music phrasing, unison, clarity of position.

I think most of the top teams other than L-B/Ciz and Z/K skated tentatively not wanting to make huge mistakes. What that means for free dance, I don't know

Or maybe it's because Guillaume and Laurence have been skating together less than one year. It's truly amazing how in synch they are, given their short time skating together. No disrespect whatsoever in this post to Gabi P. .... she was wonderful).

Overall I don't think there is anything to get upset about tonight aside from the fact the Koreans didn't make the FD

There is nothing in between the fight for gold and the fight for bronze. Just as much reason to suspect the judges threw us a curveball so they can claim "movement" when they follow through with their script for the FD.

The good news is just that there is so little in it that the teams will have to skate clean so I am thankful no one got a "free fall" cushion to offset any slip ups

First twizzle was worse than usual on her part. not a hater, it didn’t move outwards and actually did come to a stop

Gonna have to agree with this on all counts. I was in the second row of section B3, and she stopped right in front of me. It might be harder to tell on tv due to angle or whatever, but in person, no question. Her twizzles in the warm-up were much better.

It's gonna be an exciting FD!!!
