I think the front side with the higher point would be improved if it was a full strap over that shoulder. But major points to her costume designer for the near-perfect skin tone match with the illusion fabric.

Starr - illusion a good match for skin tone. That's hard to do if your skin tone is darker so good for her to find this shade.

And she lands all her jumps. Maybe not perfectly, but landed. She's happy. I'm happy. We're all happy.

Starr’s changed herself. There’s more stretch and movement in her body and she’s more relaxed. That was a great short program! I love this for her.

Starr won the bronze at Skate Canada the last time I went (3 years ago?) and was so thrilled with her performances there. I've been hoping to see her have a "moment" like that again ever since.

I mean, yes, but the depth of the US women beyond the top 6-7 is pretty thin at the moment with the best skaters not yet old enough for seniors.

I like Starr's dress and I like this program and I make no apologies for my terrible taste. I also liked Ashley Wagner and her cheated 3/3s

I was doubtful and snarky about her being a pairs skater, but now I'm a believer. At least she can land a triple toe. I think she has the attitude necessary for pairs. Not sure she has the skating skills, but I can see Wang and Andrews having a great look on the ice and that's really all that matters.
