Well constructed program, nice choreo moments and the change dress during an element, I liked them yesterday and confirmed today. Shame the mistake in the twizzles from him.

Of course they don't have the politics by their side so they wont be competing and showing this beyond maybe 4CC next year

Oh, please, do we really think WangLiu will stick around for Worlds? They're in this for another Olympics and that's it.

Long delays for first two scores. Lauren Senft possibly off in the corner calling her mother asking her how to cheat and maybe get away with it.

I've long since given up understanding the stuffies that find their way into the KnC at Chinese-hosted events, but this is definitely a new one.

Program never gets to a point where you can identify the climax, totally lost my attention. They show experience, but slow experience. Meh

The hatred I have for this program is strong. It's boring and they were crawling.

A few nice highlights in the program but the character step is SUCH a meh throwaway, his second twizzle definitely was checked and level should drop, and overall I think it was skated much better at the Olympic qualifier.

The lifts are still highlight elements for this team, but the skating skills are sometimes a struggle as in the twizzles at the end of the one foot turns. Their ice coverage, and ability to fill space clearly superior to the first two Chinese teams.

103.03 = 1st Place
165.71 = 1st Place

Liu's got an O-face of feigned angst that could rival Tanith's. That's all.

Wang/Liu - She looked slightly off on one set of twizzles, though may have been the camera angle.

Also found that rather slow, but so was the music, so it was fine. A couple of awkward moments but they looked pretty good, certainly the best of the Chinese teams.

Really hate float spins.

I liked many parts of it, but it didn't have the same impact it had at the Oly Qualifier. The looked tired, lacking speed.

He checked the 2nd set of twizzles after 2 turns (IIRC).

Yeah, I was questioning that call in real time because it was wobbling all over the place. Not sure it will actually GET called because the CFSA has made their preferences known.

FYI - their 2nd GP is NHK so if Michael's really significantly injured, while it would be terrible for them to withdraw from that, at least it would get PateBye a 2nd GP.

It's talked about in the Dance Hall thread, Michael was taken to the hospital in an ambulance and something is wrong with his lower back but they had initially decided to skate anyway.

I am glad they decided to withdraw though, he did not look comfortable out there at all and I was worried.
