Devin Heroux of CBC Sports has been in Paris reporting on both the Olympics and Paralympics. He has been reporting on the very large crowds in all the Paralympic venues (matching those during the Olympics), the amount of support being shown for all the athletes, everyone staying until the end of all the competitions, etc. He even found lots of bars and cafes showing the live competitions on their TVs as he walked between venues. It is very heart warming to read all these reports - the attention being paid, the support being given, etc.

I'm looking forward to the closing ceremonies tomorrow.

P.S. although Canada doesn't appear on any of the @allezfred tables, we have been quite successful, sitting in 15th on the penultimate day of competition. We've surpassed our Tokyo total of 21 and are close to our London total of 31.

Wheelchair basketball is much more entertaining than the able bodied version.

We went to see the Spain vs China women's match at Bercy and these athletes are amazing! They do everything that able-bodies basketball players do while turning the wheels with both hands. How is this even possible? And the complexity of not getting trapped by the other wheelchairs adds another dimension. Respect! :respec:
