Not gonna happen. The top US team will be lucky to be 6th. Landing stuff is important.
So, right now, of the top 10 teams who will be at Worlds, KamOSh have the 6th highest SB and EfiMit have the 10th highest. However, a closer analysis is required of the teams sitting in 7-9 ahead of EfiMit.
1) PavSvia are 9th, just .40 ahead of EfiMit and their SB came at Lombardia. Their Euros score was about .6 lower with 1 fall in the FS. Their ceiling, when skating clean, is obviously lower than EfiMit. Even a one-error competition from EfiMit is likely to beat PavSvia, especially when you factor in the home ice advantage for EfiMit.
2) GhiAmbro are sitting in 8th and haven't come close to matching their SB from Lombardia since. It is not unreasonable to expect that EfiMit will beat them in Boston.
3) PerMich are sitting in 7th and had two dream skates at 4CCs - their best skates of the season by a large margin. But, again, had EfiMit been clean as well in Seoul, it's doubtful that PerMich would have won the bronze over them.
Moving on to look at the teams in the Top 6 who are ahead of KamOSh. I don't think they're capable of catching MiuKih or MiNiki (1st & 2nd on the SB list) - at least, not if all three skate clean. So, moving on to the 3-5 teams.
1) MetBeru are in 3rd - they managed one really good skate at NHK and one decent program at the GPF. They also have had two stinker competitions at SkAm and Euros where they scored well below what they're capable of. Their Euros bronze score, for what it's worth, is lower than EfiMit's 5th place 4CCs score, just as a comparison. I think they're just as likely to skate great as to skate poorly and get beat by any number of teams in the SB Top 10 - and, in fact, both KamOSh and EfiMit beat them at SkAm. I see no reason to believe that can't happen again at Worlds.
2) ConMac are probably the biggest obstacle in this group, with the 4th highest SB. They're consistently scoring 200+ this season - and they're on a mission to get back on the Worlds podium. I don't know that I think KamOSh can overtake them, to be fair.
3) SDDes have the 5th best SB and, like ConMac, it will require perfection for KamOSh to surpass them, but it also will require SDDes to skate clean again in Boston. Odds are, given how inconsistent KamOSh are, that SDDes will win out.
Overall, my projection for Worlds is KamOSh 5th and EfiMit 7th, with MetBeru doing enough to split the difference between the two of them and PerMich, PavSvia & GhiAmbro rounding out the Worlds top 10.
