Bradie was added to Team North America (announced on 9/2/22).

So she is now fully recovered from the injuries? If so, that's great!

Glad for her! :)

I believe the last time Bradie actually competed was at the ISU World Team Trophy in Osaka in April 2021 (after Worlds in Stockholm) so I think it would be ideal for her to return to competition at an event like this with "only" a FS to be judged by an ISU panel in a festive team setting. Many skaters perform their SP in the gala afterwards so Bradie can debut both of her 2022-23 competitive programs in Saitama.

ETA that she posted "a video dump of some jumps from this past week" less than an hour ago: https://www.instagram.com/p/CiAEY1ogz6U/

Madison Hubbell & Zach Donohue were confirmed on Sept. 16 to perform as guests in the Japan Open:

Satoko Miyahara, Stephane Lambiel and Jeffrey Buttle were announced on Sept. 16 as guests for Carnival on Ice, along with Hubbell/Donohue: https://twitter.com/tvtokyo_figure/status/1570699385612238856
Previously, Misato & Takeru Komatsubara (Tim Koleto) were added as guests: https://www.tv-tokyo.co.jp/coi2022/skater.html

Stars on Ice has added 3 shows in Hachinohe (October 9-10) for some of the JO/CoI skaters:

In the past, only isolated routines of the Japan Open have made their way to YouTube. Same thing with routines from the following day’s exhibition (Carnival on Ice). These are usually taken from the telecast - not fan cams - so the video quality and production values are magnificent. Alas, they’re almost always taken down pretty quickly…a few days after posting…so keep the eyes open for links. Last year, the links to programs started coming within a couple of hours after the live version.

I don't see how there is time for someone to replace her.

Depends on when she notified the organizers. Just because she made a public announcement today doesn't mean the organizers weren't aware of the situation for some time already.
Who would they even get, though? Karen is at Cornell and is Alysa even skating these days? Maddie Schizas didn't exactly skate a great FS at Nebelhorn a few weeks ago. Maybe Isabeau Levito since she's reigning WJC like Ilia?

Isabeau's got Skate America coming up soon. It might disrupt her training schedule too much.

That's certainly a consideration, I'm sure - though the same can be said for Malinin, Grassl, Sakamoto & Kurakova, as did Kagiyama before he WD from this event.

Isabeau would be the logical choice but I suppose they could even ask Gracie or Starr.

Bravo Mirai! Got to be a bit challenging doing the replacement at the last minute
Wonder if she will dust off the Miss Saigon program or, if she has any show program that she can turn into a LP.
Yes, we have seen she is keeping up with triples on her IG but a full LP is tough. Honestly, if she manages to land 3-4 triples along with 2 2A's, I would be very inpressed!
So excited to see her again!
