Fixed typos in my previous posts.

^^^ That situation involved musicians who filed a lawsuit for the second time against a pair team for the same song they covered (Knierim/Frazier during the 2022 Olympics and Hase/Seegert a few years before that).

It's strange that they showed Ilia's programs at the DOI with music when they were aired on TV.

It's strange that they showed Ilia's SP at the DOI with music when it was aired on TV.
The difference could be in the fact that The Ice was available for streaming worldwide whereas DOI was not.

Is it Jason who choreographs, tapes and adds the music? If so, he is quite talented.

Jason and others at Nikko visiting Tosho-gu (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and a phone booth :ROFLMAO:

It is amusing to see what Guillaume captured with his IGS - those are too ordinary scenes for Japanese like me but he found them artistic, I guess.:giggle:

Some of the music choices and choreography at The Ice are really serving So You Think You Can Dance, good god.

But I think this is the best step sequence I've ever seen from Uno. Doesn't at all satisfy the level 4 requirements, though, so will surely change if it's the SP.

I saw the live stream for the 2nd day of The Ice in Nikko and the different programs I saw this time were:

- Mai Mihara: Jupiter - I vow to thee my county (Kathryn Jenkins)
This program is a standing-O worthy program. I really liked it.

- Kana and Daisuke: Soran-Bushi in white costumes.
Marina's chreography to this music is amazing.

- Kevin Aymoz: Bolero (my Shazam says Budapest Scoring Symphonic Orchestra)
It seems a work in progress since I think he can put more TR in this program (especially since this is Kevin who skates to it), but it has lots of potential. MC says this is the first time Kevin skated to Bolero in Japan.

- Papadakis & Cizeron: In Line (Robert Skoro)
A program using a table. Very unique and creative.

- Ilia Malinin: Malaguena (Benise)
This also seems to be a work in progress. I'd like it to have a bit more Spanish-like movements (if you know what I mean) but we will see.

- Junhwan Cha: Golden Hour
I really like his expressions. He can really perform for various styles of music!

No music copyright issues for Nikko shows.

For other days in Nikko, Jason skated to Adios and Nathan Skated his new exhibition program, Hold On Tight (Thomas Azier).

Nathan put a part (the beginning and the last step sequence) of his new exhibition program, Hold On Tight on his IG account. This program becomes my most favorite exhibition program!

The similarity between 2D manga and 3D skaters are amazing.
Apparently those who are manga fans who came to see the show are falling in love with the performance of the skaters.

Can you guess who this is?

Its Koshiro Shimada, performing Sanji.

Shouma also shows quite a different personality portraying the leading character, Luffy.

(The audience is allowed to take a video at the finale)

It's a fun show and everybody is enjoying. While I only saw the clips that my friends took, I am impressed by the way the skaters were portraying totally different characters than their own.

I am in Japan and was at the dress rehearsal for Friends on Ice today and watched Stephane skated to Poeta.
A-m-a-z-i-n-g!! It has been 16 years since I saw him skate this program at the 2007 Worlds in Tokyo and today he paid the same level of attentions to the details, brought out the same level of passion, and showed even deeper emotions.
It was as if he had been competing with this program until yesterday.
Complete standing-o from the audience.

Aired today on NTV terrestrial in Japan a Friends on Ice 2023 special.

Unfortunately the collaboration on Poeta has been edited, but Kana and Dai's Birds/Makeba has been aired in its entirety, together with programs from Shizuka Arakawa (choreographed by Kana Muramoto), Mai Mihara, Junhwan Cha.

A full version will be broadcast later this month.
