Eileen Davidson won Emmys for both, but her best performance by far was here:

Beast? How Dare You!

Full clip:

Article that includes quotes from Bob Dunlop, U.S. Figure Skating’s senior director of events, about the "bubble" protocols: https://www.teamusa.org/News/2021/J...gas-Bubble-This-Time-For-The-US-Championships
ETA that this is confirmed by Dunlop in the article:
I believe I read that if [skater tests positive in Las Vegas and] you flew, you are moved to another hotel (already predetermined and quarantined for 10 days before going home).

USFS' press release about the broadcast coverage for Nationals:

Whilst I normally denounce reality television, this was devilishly amusing. I may have to add "Why don't you have a piece of bread and maybe you'll calm down a little" to my grab bag of deflections.

You should go to the youtubes and watch Santa Barbara from the 80s!!!! SLAY!!!
Honey,I WAS Santa Barbara in in the 80s. Mr. Bottems even commissioned an orchestral version of the theme song for our wedding reception.

Now if you will excuse me,I must plan my party for one in anticipation of Miss Amber Glenn's Nationals victory.

Thanks for the article link, Sylvia. Nothing can be completely safe these days, but it's clear the Federation, the organizing committee and the skaters have all put a lot of effort into making this as safe as they can. I hope it works out for them and that the skaters are still able to have a good experience at Nationals.

Of the originally scheduled 18 American women, there are no two with the same first name.

How many women do we send to Worlds?

"Close contact is defined by CDC as someone who was within 6 feet of an infected person for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period starting from 2 days before illness onset (or, for asymptomatic patients, 2 days prior to test specimen collection) until the time the patient is isolated."

Assuming Paige Rydberg arrived and her sample was collected on the 11th, the skaters at World Arena had intense and busy pre-nationals training sections on the 9th and 10th and cumulatively they had spent 15min within 6 ft of Paige during those two days, there's a good chance someone or even many from the World Arena would be considered a close contact/s: Tom Z, Bradie Tennell, Pooja Kalyan, Vincent Zhou, and likely more after they review security video footage at the rink. To prevent Nationals become a super spreader event, USFS has to do something and err on the safe side.

It’s really great that you can sit at home in your living room couch and know all this information and be convinced everyone is doing it wrong because it’s not what you think should be done based on absolutely no knowledge besides assumptions you made up

assuming you really don’t have any information, maybe you should quit passing judgment and telling people what they should do because you’re an expert based on no information at all.LOL

I loved Santa Barbara in the 80s! I watched it from the beginning. I even remember the day that Robin Mattson took over the role of Gina Capwell! My favorite character. Eden and Cruz, C.C. and Gina and Sophia, Hayley and Ted, Julia and Keith, I loved them all.

I didn’t find anything about moving to another hotel part. “if [skater tests positive in Las Vegas and] you flew, you are moved to another hotel (already predetermined and quarantined for 10 days before going home). It was not in the on arrival testing either.

Christina and Anthony withdrew because of exposure to person tested positive despite their test negative on Jan. 10th.

I‘m sure USFS is taking every effort to make this is a safe event, but I wish there is better communications as to how situation like this is handled.

I’m sure there is, to the people affected.

I’m not sure why you think you should’ve been informed however

Because people are concerned, because other sports have protocols about exposure to positive case and media was reporting it. It would help to alleviate concerns from FS fans. What’s wrong with people asking questions about how positive case is handled in this bubble? I was not even asking about details who had exposure, and who should withdraw.

Do you not sit at home? Do you have any information to the contrary? I didn't see Tom at the ladies' practice today. Would you suspect maybe Tom is positive and stays at home in Colorado quarantining? Is it possible he passed it to Paige or vice versa? If he or his skaters were asymptomatic carriers, could they have spent 15 min a day with each other in those couple days when they all fought for music turns at the rink before leaving for Nationals? If so, there is a potential need to quarantine and withdraw his skaters to ensure the integrity of the bubble and the safety of other nationals participants. A brainless probably would not be able to ask these questions.

I have no idea what the schedules for any of these skaters is but considering that the 9th and 10th were a weekend, it could be that fewer of them skated. I trust US Figure Skating and all of the other people involved in putting on the event to do everything they can to make it safe. I’m sure They don’t want it to become a super spreader event either.
ETA - Thanks @concorde i agree completely!
Since Paige got her positive result back on the 12th and its turnaround time was 10-12hrs, she most likely had her sample collected on the 11th. However, keep in mind since we don't know if she had any negative test before departing it is likely her infection started at least 4-5 days earlier before the test. Even if they didn't have training sections on Saturday or Sunday, which was unlikely before skaters departing for nationals, they likely had training sections and close contact occasions on Thur and Friday, when they could be in danger of transmission. I know I am using assumptions and reasoning here. If USFS's contact tracers were hard at work they might have already asked for and reviewed security footage at the rink to determine who had and had not close contact with Paige the two days before her positive result, as it's critical in deciding who may or may not need to quarantine and withdraw.

Side note: I wish Amber Glenn would have been Margot Robbie's skating double in I, Tonya instead of Heidi Munger.
Glenn doesn’t flutz, right? The fact that Harding’s skating double had a severe Bobek-like flutz was the most egregious mischaracterization of Tonya Harding I’ve ever seen. Harding circa 1994 had the most gorgeous triple lutz I’ve ever seen. So insulting!
