A late note on yesterday's ladies: edge jumps were just not happening for her (maybe there was something wrong with her left blade), but I really like Hannah Lofton's musicality. Looking forward to seeing more from her.

With all due respect to the other senior men at Mids, all of whom I like, it's stupidly easy to pick out which man is the former high-level ice dancer. Klaber has no hope of ever making it to Nats in singles with the new minimums, but I still enjoy seeing him skate.

Nice job Gracie! She looked a little nervous at the beginning - the spark in her eyes wasn't quite there. But once she landed all the jumps, the performance level definitely went up. Glad to see she got such a good crowd reaction - hope it carries over into tomorrow.

It was announced at the end of the Mids Juvenile Girls FS that Hanna Harrell would award the medals. The difference between winning the pewter (4th place) medal & 5th was 0.02! It was to see the 5th place girl drop her head in the kiss & cry when she realized this.
