When leaving the building, there was a fire truck and ambulance waiting out front with lights flashing. We wondered if it was for Elvis. However, we concluded that it must have been for someone else, since an ambulance for Elvis would have used a private back entrance to the arena.

Thank you. There is no marking on the ice. ~~This must be Hamilton~~. rvi4 suggests it would be Windsor, which I agree.

I think it is Windsor...

-The layout of the building balcony boxes seem to match.
-There is no recording of Tessa & Scott, who were only scheduled to perform their Prince routine at Toronto, Hamilton, and London.
-The skaters entrance to the ice appears to be at the rink corner, while at Hamilton it was centered at rink end.
-As I recall, in Hamilton Kaetlyn removes her leather jacket and twirls it before tossing it to the people sitting in the on ice seats. In this video, she just drops the jacket on the carpet at the end of the rink.
-At Hamilton, there were falls and stumbles that had to be corrected for TV.

Elvis had a jump stumble during his performance, and had to do a retake. He had the stumble again during the retake, and was preparing to do another retake. He was moving backward when it appeared he caught the back of his blade on the ice and fell backward, hitting the back of his head. He was laying on the ice conscience, but in pain. He managed to roll onto his knees, but bent over holding his head with both hands (as seen in the photo). First aid people came out to check on him. Eventually he slowly got back onto his feet, and was guided off ice as the audience cheered and applauded.

Elvis update! Just after 10 pm last night, Canadian men’s figure skater @elvistojko fell and hit his head during additional filming of an “Investors Group Stars on Ice presented by Lindt” television special following the tour performance at the FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, Ontario. According to Byron Allen, Producer of Stars on Ice, “Mr. Stojko was assisted off the ice, but under his own power. An ambulance took him to Juravinski Hospital for evaluation. He was accompanied by his wife Gladys and the tour physiotherapist. Thankfully, doctors at Juravinski Hospital diagnosed Mr. Stojko as concussion-free, at which point he was released. As a precautionary measure, Elvis will not be skating in the tour’s 4:00 PM performance today at the @budweisergardens in London, Ontario.” Heal quickly & fully Elvis!

Sometimes it can take symptoms a while to emerge, so I'm glad he's getting the day off! Hope everything is ok!

I was at the London show, and it was very obvious where Elvis should have been in the group routines. I found a lot of the music tended to be slower tempo, sombre or serious. It would have been nice to have had Elvis' more rock and roll persona to break up the quietness. The numbers were all lovely, but many were the same mood and tone.

Kurt was pretty fabulous, and Patrick was smooth as silk except he almost kicked someone in the face coming out of a jump way too close to the on ice spectators. :yikes:

Kaetlyn is innately musical; I feel she is capable of interpreting any type of music you give her. She went down on a jump in her second number, but bounced right up and sassily flipped her ponytail anyways! Girl is a star, but I still don't think she fully realizes it. :glamor:

Tessa and Scott had the biggest reaction, obviously being in their home town. I'm estimating the crowd at about 5000.

Overall it was a little flat for me, and I think that was mostly due to having to re-jig things with Elvis missing.

Kurt asked the Hamilton crowd who was at the rink in '93 to see him skate with Elvis. It got a big reaction. He then went on to imply his decision to skate the entire tour this year was because Elvis had already agreed to return. Truly hope Elvis is okay and able to return. I was there in '93, it was magical.

Thanks for that memory! I was there too in Hamilton for '93 Canadians, and the atmosphere for the men's warm-up and final group was just electric. Bought a ticket from a scalper to upgrade my seat for the men's event, and it was so worth it. Hope Elvis has a quick recovery; it's great to see him and Kurt still out there doing what they love.
