2017-2018 Program Music and Choreographers

The more I think about this the more I can see the crowd going crazy for this program. It has a lot of emotional highs and lows and has good vocals. Don't get me wrong the song aint my taste... but I think this could be the standout of pairs frees rates once again this season.

Zimmerman using innovation. No Carmen for this team!!!!!
I think them doing "Make it Rain" for the SP is even better, it's a sexy song for a very sexy team, fits them like a glove

I don't know it this was mentioned here before but at ACI I think we found out about this two programs:
Seguin/Bilodeau - FS to "SYML - Where's My Love"
James/Cipres - FS to "Say Something"

D/R did an exhibition to Say Something a few seasons ago. I enjoyed both programs by both J/C and S/B at Autumn Classic. J/C will probably be debuting new costumes for these programs later in the season. It looks like J/C were wearing black warm-up attire here.

D/R had nice programs too and I like the haircuts of Meagan and Vanessa! Meagan seemed shook up a bit after her opening fall on 3-lutz and she couldn't get back into form and rhythm on the remaining jumps/throws. Otherwise, D/R probably would have won. D/R were in good form in the sp.

J/C are looking very good and hopefully they will fine-tune and steadily improve and build over the course of the season. This was a good win for them as Vanessa had a fall in fp, and she doubled a triple in 3-jump combo I believe in the sp. Some interesting touches in both programs. I'm glad they brought back the head first leap Vanessa makes into Morgan's arms in the sp.

In any case, S/B are looking quite strong and they have wonderful new programs (choreo by M-F Dubreuil). It will be a battle between S/B and M-T/M for the 3rd spot for Olympics and Worlds.

The rumoured Moonlight Sonata for PapCiz confirmed by someone who has seen them practice it (and posted some practice pics). More info here on GS.
Info about choreographers by the same person:
SD was choreographed by both Romain Haguenauer (MF probably contributed as well) and Christopher Dean. (...)
FD was choreographed by Marie-France. I guess Romain was involved as well. Jeffrey Cirio played a different role compared to Christopher Dean. Jeffrey's contribution imHo was to enhanced the existing choreography as he's himself an experienced ballet dancer.

The quality of the recording of Richard Kiley's original Impossible Dream from 1965 sounded somewhat distorted in Fernandez's long program (at least from the clip of SC autumn classic). I wouldn't be surprised if that section got substituted out at some point in the season, imo.

What’s going on with Team Raf and all the program issues? Is he encouraging them to go back to old programs? If he is... I hope he convinces Mariah Bell to drop West Side Story and go back to East of Eden. At this point I’m nervous for Nathan,.

RIP Diamonds as performed by Adam Rippon. I wanted to hear this so bad.
There’s still a chance that it’ll be an exhibition.

According to her comments to Japanese media after the FS, Anna Karenina will be Medvedeva’s FS from now on.

Thanks, Meoima. I have to say I am not sure about this. I thought her FS was fine, if not great, and I don't see how her 'Karenina' exhibition is much better. And is it a good idea to change one's FS so late, especially in an Olympic season? Oh well, of course the 'Karenina' program will be changed to fit the competition format - perhaps it will actually look better then.

I posted this over on the Japan Open thread but I'm actually glad to hear this. I liked her fs music but it was very similar in feel to the short and for whatever reason she didn't look comfortable with it. And... It's not like she's reusing a competitive program ala Osmond or Wagner
