2015 - 2016 TV Season

I watched all three, even though I am new to them, just watched Med since it started. I'm glad Fire wasn't all about a literal "fire". Makes me too scared.

Believe me, I hear you! That's the reason why I started watching Fire only after I had found out PD characters are appearing on the show. Thought they're running into burning buildings all the time. So glad they're not.

Thought the Fire and PD people really looked like what you think of as tough Chicago guys, not like the "prettier" ones on other cop shows. :)

True. And I think they have a good mix; great casting.

I'm looking forward to Jekyll & Hyde on CBC, starting Monday. I doubt it will be as good as Jekyll from a few years back, but I'm still a sucker for the story so will tune in. (Plus I'm distantly related to Robert Louis Stevenson so there's a family obligation there too. ;))

I've seen a few commercials for Colony and will tune in. But I hope its not like "aliens" from outer space type of show. I don't like stuff with aliens. :P

Did anyone watch the premier of Shades of Blue the other night? I tuned in because of Ray Liotta, plus I was curious to see JLo after such a long time. But I didn't even make it through the whole episode. I've seen this formula a hundred times before, and I have a very low tolerance for seeing shows that glorify crooked cops while pretending to condemn them.

I PVR'd it but have not watched yet because I also am not much on the concept but was slightly curious. Can't say I have heard anything positive about it so I may even just delete it without watching. It is unrealistic to have a cop show without some sort of acknowledgement of someone abusing their power, but I'd much prefer it to be minor story or perhaps even just a single episode topic.

It's such a pity they put up Madam Secretary against the Golden Globes. No idea why they did it but that was a fantastic episode, definitely among my all time favs and it deserved so much better than the ratings they got. My only regret was that Russell wasn't in the episode but I see how it would have been difficult to incorporate him. Hopefully, they'll have strong +3/+7 and DVR ratings.

No conflict in this time zone. :D

I agree that it was one of the better episodes, so much going on that all wove together nicely. I particularly loved how it was the astronauts that set the example. :cheer2:

And I loved Elizabeth's line about "Peace is great, but the process of peace ... not so much." (or words to that effect)

There were so many lines I actually loved. Also loved the scene between her and Dalton. And, of course, all the scenes with Henry.
I have to admit I went in rather wary (the way they had left off with Elizabeth and Henry, that it seemed a rather easy way to get rid of Ostrova) but my concerns were very much unfounded. And I felt that even though there was so much going on, it didn't feel rushed. They actually found a way to make it all work and give it all the attention it needed. (except maybe how Elizabeth was impacted by the explosion personally, however, they still could go into that at a later point. I'm hoping they will (at least mention if she's still seeing a therapist or not) but not sure they plan to).
Oh, and I also hope they include something which will get that principal from Alison's school off from her high horse. That woman annoys me :P

I obviously know nothing about tv programming, because I don't understand why any network puts a key show on Sunday evening. More often than not, if it's not an awards show or other special, it's an overrun of football or golf. And yet they all do it, and so many of us end up having to pvr a bunch of it, which may get viewers but doesn't do advertisers any good.

I like The Colony! :cheer2:

I do too. I also enjoyed "Second Chance." I like that competition is really upping the game for good programming. I watched "Younger" for the first time and enjoyed that as well. I never thought there would be a time when there would be more good fare out there than there would be time to watch. It is nice to be able to pick and choose. I understand why one might wait and binge at the end of a season. I'm curious about "The Expanse" but I guess I might wait to watch that. I like Thomas Jane and he is the star.

Friends cast reunion coming to NBC

They will be on a special to honour comedy director James Burrows, who "helmed iconic series such as Taxi, The Bob Newhart Show, and Cheers. Burrows directed 15 episodes of Friends, including the pilot, and recently shot his 1,000th episode of television."

All six members of Friends have agreed to be part of the special, but one of the six is working and won't be able to attend in person. Matthew Perry. When I heard that one couldn't make it, I thought for sure it would be Jennifer Aniston as she has such a healthy movie career. But Perry is rehearsing for a play in London and apparently can't get time off. Unless this is all a ruse and we're actually going to get to see all six of them together again. And there was talk on the radio as to whether they could get the six to all be in character, even if for just a short sketch. Methinks people should just be grateful for them to all appear together. Well...five of them... ;)

I'm not anticipating any kind of reunion other than the 6 (or 5) actors sitting together in the same room as their uhm, real selves, honoring James Burrows. I don't think for a minute they will be doing any kind of "Monica, Chandler, Ross, Joey, Rachel, Phoebe" storyline/acting. The radio show I heard it on, they were going on and on about a "Friends reunion show" and what do you think the storyline will be and yada yada yada ..... don't think so! Sure, the actors who acted on the show "Friends" will all be together in a room, which I guess you can call a reunion ... but it ain't gonna be in character. Of course, I could also be wrong. :p
