US Ice Dance 2024-25 News & Updates

Caroline Green shared the video of her and Michael Parsons’ very cool exhibition to Sunset Boulevard from Nationals on her Instagram, and the official account of the Tony-winning musical reposted it today ? The Nationals exhibition was never streamed or televised so I’m glad people are finally getting to see this program!

Thank you! I’m so glad she posted it!

Great, thanks for sending to her!

@sunsetblvdmusical official Instastory reposted Caroline/Michael/Jordan's reel yesterday -- adding "@caroline.g_103 and @michaelap are ready for their closeup"
Let's see if she responds in any way. The last time I sent a skating video to a singer/star was to Barbra Streisand with Alysa's SP to "Don't Rain on My Parade". No response....

On Ice Perspectives posted the full video of Green/Parsons' Sunset Boulevard exhibition on YouTube

Glorious. Michael is in his element, for sure.

Come to think of it, wouldn’t Sunset Boulevard be a great FD choice for Chock & Bates? Chock really excels as a dance actress!

Abo/Ves posted that they will skate their new programs at these events on June 28 and July 19. (Presumably Tali/Lafornara will too.)

I find it amusing that Gregory/Petukov's names are all over the poster and the actual skaters' names aren't. To be fair, maybe it was a mistake.

No it does not - It just has the House of Diamonds branding on there. How is that different than any other successful, group, musician, product, concept, etc. I think it looks great!

Um, yes it does. The picture of Aboian/Veselukhin has "Gregory & Petukov, House of Diamonds" on it. So does the picture of Tali/Lafornara. If that's their branding, by all means put it on the poster, but also leave room for the names of the actual skating teams pictured. That's just common sense and common courtesy.

I just can't remember the name of Melissa and Denis' ice skating school. Does anyone know what it is?

;)

Yes, it's Gregory & Petukov, House of Diamonds - That's the brand! When you get the h8rs, that's when you know you have already made it :)

I was joking about @Wyliefan very accurate observation that G&P are credited more often on that poster than the actual skaters who are performing.
There name is literally part of the branding. For example (Though it on a much larger scale) "Disney Present's Bambi". #Branding101

Can't wait to see this team. Nicole was such a strong solo skater! I see a bright future for this talented duo! :)

Just noticed that Epps/Gilman have been removed from the ISP. Anyone know if they split or if their scores last season were just too low to maintain being in the ISP?

I was hoping to see them on the JGP this season with some of the older teams aging out. When they first debuted as juniors domestically, I thought they were on a similar level to Ilin/Cain, but then Ilin/Cain improved a lot and Epps/Gilman have been scored relatively the same since then which I’m guessing is pretty frustrating for them. Anyways, I enjoy their skating and think they are super well matched although they need a lot of work technically so I would be sad if they split/retired.

Their score from Nats was too low per the ISP requirements:
Junior Ice Dance:
• 126.00 in a junior event at a 2024-25 Junior Grand Prix event, 2025 U.S. Championships, an approved 2025-26 competition* or the 2025 National Qualifying Series
• Junior teams from 2024-25 who are moving up to senior for 2025-26 and who achieved the senior ISP score (151.00) at a 2024-25 international competition or the 2025 U.S. Championships will be added to the ISP

They only scored 115.32 at Nats.
Mind, that doesn't explain why Kouevi/Homawoo are still on the ISP since their Nats score was 120.17; same for Stapert/Korotcov who didn't have a JGP assignment last season & only scored 124.74 at Nats - though they did just score 126.29 at Chesapeake Open, so that may have been enough to keep them on the ISP.

In other news, the schedule for Dallas Classic is out, per @TanithandBenFan's post in the KnC thread for US NQS & Club Comps.

Gotcha. I guess I’ll have to wait for Dallas and Lake Placid to see for sure if they’re competing. I’m excited to see if Vaclavikova/Lissauer are comparable to Ilin/Cain. Pretty impressive for them to win over Deych/Hu and Stapert/Korotcov at Chesapeake after just teaming up (although it wasn’t by much). Also seems like quite a few new teams will probably be making domestic debuts sometime soon!

They're on the entry list for Quebec Summer Championships but changed country 🤔 https://patinage.qc.ca/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Liste-participants-CQE_2025-30062025.pdf
