2024-25 USFS International Assignments

Has Jurka gotten a post-nationals assignment? She was impressive there and only had one jr b this season.

I found the entries for the Maria Olszewska Memorial in Poland next week: https://pzlf-wyniki.pl/2425/MOM2025/

USA entries:
Senior Men: Daniel Martynov, Emmanuel Savary
Senior Women: Alina Bonillo, Alexa Gasparotto, Bradie Tennell(!)
Junior Women: Annika Chao, Emilia Nemirovsky :cheer2:
Junior Pairs: Kerr/Castelletti (novice national champs)
Novice Women: Hannah Kim, Kaya Tiernan
bradie girl what you doing here

The new season's International Selection Pool (ISP) has now been updated https://www.usfigureskating.org/skate/qualify-for-team-usa though it includes some partnerships that are no longer together:

Ryan Bedard and Isabelle Martins (senior pairs) -- Ryan is in Ice Partner Search https://icepartnersearch.com/showbio.php?i=3704
Emily Renzi and William Lissauer (junior dance) -- split up and not getting back together
Effie Chen and Kenny Eckert (junior dance) -- one is injured and will be out for months and the other is looking for a new partner

Looks like they included everyone who competed at Nats. That is nice. It's not likely that everyone will get an assignment, but hopefully there will be opportunities for most.

No, they didn't.

The following were not included:

Sr Pairs - 11th-13th
Sr Dance - 14th-15th
Sr Men - Lucius Kazanecki (finished 16th ahead of Klein & Shinohara)
Jr Pairs - 8th-10th (pretty sure that Kovar/McPike have already split, FWIW)
Jr Women - 14th-18th
Jr Men - everyone 9th-18th except Jared Sedlis & Louis Mallane

Well that's unexpected, but it could be a clerical error (it wouldn't be the first time).

International Selection Pool (ISP) seems to be updated again and Maia and Alex Shibutani is in.

Lindsay Thorngren is not listed. 😲

The past couple of years, I thought Lindsay just needed a major reboot, including coaching change. So much unrealized potential there. I hope she is not done with skating, but is either taking time off to heal, or take university classes, or something fruitful. I believe her mother is originally from Dominican Republic, so it's possible she is thinking of representing that country in the future...which means she'd need to sit out a year.

I think Clare Seo might have just graduated from high school, so possibly she wants to move on permanently, or head for college and do lighter training and then get back to competition later. She's only 18.

She'd also need for the DR to have an ice skating federation... :shuffle:

I think below is more likely the case for Lindsay as much as it is for Clare, TBH.

True about DR. I thought they already had an ice skating federation but I am in error, there is none. So that's unlikely. Yes, Lindsay may be heading for university and retiring for good or temporarily taking a break.

Wasn't Lindsay pretty injured last season? Or am I remembering incorrectly? I thought they talked about her skating with pain of some sort at Nationals.
