Collegiate gymnastics doesn't start competing until later in the fall (usually Dec. or Jan.) so they could theoretically go to college and still train for Worlds which I believe are in October but I have no clue who would actually want to do that.

After all they’ve been through in the last 16 months, many may just want some sort of normal college life, while others might want a Worlds medal. As long as they do what makes them happy and they don’t get manipulated by USAGym.

I'm rooting for Leanne but I think it's going to either Grace or Skinner. Grace is a good choice cause she's a good all arounder and you never know where you might be needed. She's pretty consistent too. Skinner has the high difficulty but bad execution and is worrisome on bars and beam if needed. Leanne is lovely and has a great scoring potential but is also a very nervy competitor so I don't know and I don't know on the +1 spot either. I just know there will be a lot of broken hearts!!

Watching this commercial about women's sports, I hope NBC stresses that pro surfing is the first sport that women earn the exact same prize money as the men when surfing debuts at the Os this summer.

I am thinking it might be Wong and Skinner. If Riley had stayed on Bars, I would have thought she’d be a lock for that Specialist spot. Bars is the main spot where a Specialist could be truly stronger than another team member to be Top 2 US and qualify for EF. Maybe they’ll take the risk on Riley for the medal shot…

Well, after tonight and NBC showing those numbers, I kind of hope Wong gets it. her floor exercise was just beautiful, definitely my favorite. She had such gorgeous landings on every tumbling pass, and the routine felt thematically coherent (unlike a lot of the other girls’).
