To be fair, he makes a lot of comments about actually watching in-arena (seeing other events at the same time) rather than watching the monitors, so his angle was probably not great. But yeah, toes were over on both feet.

The concentration of these athletes is amazing. I can't imagine trying to do balance beam while hearing music for other people's floor event and having 20,000 people cheer or gasp in the middle of your event because of some other routine.

I want to give all these girls a hug, but especially Simone. She’s got Mount Everest on her shoulders and I wish she wasn’t quite so tough on herself. But then, she might not be the champion she is if she wasn’t. Either way, hugs to her.

If I were USAG I'd step in, tell Simone to scratch floor, and go from there. I know that complicates things with the automatic spots, but still...just let her rest.
