When did you find out about the points required?
After Worlds in Helsinki. I did ask them a long time ago, but never got an answer. It was extremely hard not knowing. I wanted to know the exact deal and have it in writing, and I finally got it after Worlds. This time it's not about placement, but points achieved at either Challenger, Grand Prix or Euros that count. So I will either get dropped from the Swedish committee's program already after the Nebelhorn Trophy or after Euros, or after the free program at the Olympics. It's a raw deal but it's good to be aware so you're not suddenly in shock. I have a plan now and know exactly what to do and when, if it happens. It's good to have this communication though; there won't be any media chaos for something you might have said. Information should go to the athlete first, and not to the media. The athlete should know the policy before it becomes official.

Kolyada scored 257.47 in his 8th place finish at Helsinki Worlds. Majorov scored 225.86 in his 7th place finish at Euros in Moscow (154.58 new ISU PB in his FS). His ISU PB total is 228.97 at 2016 CS Warsaw Cup.

@Veronica posted this "future criteria" in this thread back on Oct. 3rd so perhaps Ostlund (or Algotsson who won the Olympic berth & silver medal at Nebelhorn Trophy) may still be considered by the Swedish Olympic Committee?

According to SOKs website there are two different criteria too qualify, the basic criteria and the future criteria.
From what I read the basic criteria is that the skater must prove that they are capable of finishing 8th at the Olympics.
If I understand it correctly, the future criteria says that a skater who doesnt fulfill the basic criteria can go as a learning experience if they:
1. Never have been to the Olympics before
2. Has shown potential to reach high results at a future Olympics.
3. Has shown that they still can perform well.

As none of the ladies have been to the Olympics they might fulfill the future criteria depending on how point 2 and 3 are judged.

Thanks for posting this! i really hope he can find some sponsoring. He has been through a lot with his father's illness etc. and really deserves some sponsoring so he can skate for another season if that's what he wants.

She is still skating. There is an article about her in a Stockholm morning paper today. There is no point providing a link because it's behind a paywall but says she is training in Stockholm five days a week and wants to improve her skating. She will go to training camps this summer, first to Switzerland and then to the US (Chicago) and will present her new programmes at a training camp in Sweden in August. She says that her role models are Kaetlyn Osmond and Ashley Wagner because "they are mature skaters with a personal style on the ice".

Yes, but she has moved back to Stockholm. She didn't felt comfortable in Skövde since it just a small town compared to Stockholm. She has 3 summer camps coming up and is working on 3-3s. Source today's paper version of Dagens nyheter.
It's her 20th birthday today and it's an article in the family part DN gratulerar.

Camilla Gjersem is making her season debut in a one of the Norwegian cup competitions this weekend. Unfortunately I haven't been able to attend (to much life outside skating....) (who am I fooling?) She wanted a competition under her belt before Finlandia next week. Go Camilla!

Camilla is studying law, but is taking a break from school this season to focus entirely on figure skating. She says it's been hard to juggle those too, and she's looking forward to only have one focus. Her main goal is to make it to worlds in Japan. (Source is Camilla herself, she coached my adult group at summer camp, and she's coaching us off ice once a week this fall. Talk about inspiring!)
