Remember when Igor was the levels master? Marie-France and Patrice took that over. Heck, even Marina and Massimo's teams have consistently achieved higher TES than Igor's as of late.

I thought Chock and Bates looked really cautious--for good reason--but it was evident. I hope they can relax more into the free. I was so nervous for Madison, particularly leading up to the lift. They did really well all things considered.
Major punishment for Bukin doping ban. They want him out of the sport!
All I see is a team that beat c/l w/p now lose to them! It’s clear the judges want Bukin out. Where did that never before seen extra lift come from? It’s a fake ruse to send a message that he should retire.Yeah, it was really clear after watching them back-to-back with P/C and H/D. Before Igor wasn't only able to maximize levels but do it in a way that garnered really high GOEs. C/B are skating more cautiously but I think the field just improved their edging, power, and execution of the elements so the ones that already had better basic skating skills now had the elements to put them over.
They would have scored over 75 if not for that deduction, higher than they received all season and in-line with what they received at Euros. I think people projected all kinds of crazy expectations on them because they just expected a Russian team to be in bigger medal contention, but just because they are currently in 7th doesn't mean they are being "dumped". They are where they've been all season really.
What: Ice Dance Annual MeetingThe Ice Dance Technical Committee and the ISU Development Commission have the pleasure to announce that for the first time the Annual Meeting with Ice Dance Coaches, Skaters, Officials and interested representatives of the Media, held on the occasion of the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2018 in Milan, Italy will be Live streamed.
Exactly. And this is the first time W/P have skated the SD well since Skate Canada. At least to my recollection. Those placements were not set in stone. Weaver/Poje and Cappellini/Lanotte are always in the mix and when they bring it and bring the levels they are actually medal contenders and top 5 quality teams.
What an excellent SD competition today! The only sad thing for me personally was H/B's fallAnd poor sweet Kaitlin was very very disappointed. Hopefully they skate well in the FD. Fingers crossed.
H/D really freaking brought it today. Like, truly, WOW. What fun![]()
Same. She was SO excited to be at Worlds; I hate that for her. I hope she can brush it off and be fantastic tomorrow
C/B got L4 on all elements except the midline (same as at Olys). Given that Madi is skating on an injured ankle, that's pretty good. I felt they were underscored in PCS and I also thought they deserved higher GOE on their lift. I hope they can have a great skate in the FD.
Are C/B skating for 4 more years?
And lastly and most importantly.. what about one of my husbands Paul Poirier?

What: Ice Dance Annual Meeting
Weapo were great tonight! good to see Canadian ice dancers doing so well without V/M there! That's all i have to say and will not go into the horrendous overscoring of certain teams.
Worse than mediocre! Atrocious! I have been finding this all season actually. At Olympics they zoomed away from V/M's opening lift and P/C's stationary lift into their spin. Two highlights for me, personally. Grr.Is anybody else finding the camera work of these championships to be mediocre? I don't like it when they zoom out that often :/
I haven't been watching much due to no ISU stream, but based on what I've seen I tend to agree. Is anybody else finding the camera work of these championships to be mediocre? I don't like it when they zoom out that often :/
Leave Agafonova/Ucar alone. That's all i have to say and will not go into the horrendous overscoring of certain teams.
LOL. Yes, stir that pot, Fred. Hahaha.Oh please do.![]()
And 4th too ! Anna & LucaReal beautiful ice dance. Top 3 teams are just so pleasant to watch. Ideally matched and perfect for ice dance.
Brace yourselves...
The SD (or now called Rythm Dance) for 2019-2020 is... Musical, Operetta, Broadway.
(Help, I really dislike those, or maybe introduce me to some great ones please)
