No, Charlie did not call B/S trash or terrible. He did a side by side comparison of V/M and B/S doing a choctaw where there were clear differences in execution: this edge is held and this one wobbled, these free legs match and these do not, this posture is crisp and that one is bent. That allowed him to explain to viewers how the element is scored. Isn't that what we keep harping on commentators to do?
He doesn’t have to say trash or terrible for the point to be understood! Everyone is directed to understand b/s should not be near any medal! They are low quality.

He was measured, stuck to the facts aided by replay, insulted nobody personally, and was entirely correct in his analysis. What more do people want from commentators? It's not their job to give gold stars to everyone if they want casual viewers to understand the placements.
