With variations, in USA elections the "economy and related issues" usually, if not always, win... (just one article but there are many)I try not to discuss politics here, but FYI, Trump is not currently being evaluated solely on the economy (the trajectory of which he inherited from his predecessor.) Current polls show quite the opposite. Polls show people are happy with the economy and unhappy with him nonetheless. To assume he'll enjoy the same treatment from voters as previous presidents did would assume he is the same kind of president, and he is, by his own admission, not.
