I know, the accident with the glass door sounded terrible! Fingers crossed for worlds!!
 
This day I can live with, despite I/M (possible) swan song not stellar...

* Japanese ladies sweep at 4CC with Kaori on top!
* Medal for cutie North Korean pair

AND

* Shevchenko/Eremenko won silver at Jnats!:cheer2::cheer2: Does this mean they're going to JWC??? It must! And get three spots for next year, thank you so much. Yours truly!
 
Last few day were just excellent :gallopin1

Firstly, news about Stolbova and Bukin..:fragile:
Secondly, Luba and Dylan at 4CC :(

And now Russian Junior Nats...
I wanted 4 skaters/teams to make the team and no one did it :wall:
2 out of that 4 finished in 4th place (Gubanova, Boikova/Kozlovsky) and Ignatov was a total mess :gallopin1

I want a big-huge-giant glass bottle of wine :drama:

It's not easy being a fan of skating. Winter is coming. Or perhaps it's already here. :yikes:

I know, sigh... Ignatov and Gubanova... and Sphilayeva/Smirnov didn't even enter:( At least I got Schvchenko/Eremenko...

We must look forward. I have not given up on at least Bukin yet....

:lol: That's so true, in many ways. Like Michael Jordan famously said he's failed so many times, and that's how he became a champion. Still someone maybe needs to tell ISU decisionmakers about that bit of lifting and splatting wisdom, especially since splatting is not too heavily frowned upon in and of itself under IJS/COP, unlike in gymnastics where solid dismounts are everything! Why cannot the effort of lifting and wisely aborting when necessary not get a few points for effort!? :soapbox:

ISU is always changing the rules because they are so f'ing clueless in the first place about figure skating. :drama:

Oh well, most aborted lifts in pairs don't end in splats because they are aborted in order not to disastrously splat which could cause not just bad marks, but something more damaging and life-threatening. (((Hugs))) to Katia/Harley, they will learn from what happened and shine another day. :)

I watched Dima again last night, haven't found time until yesterday...loved how BESP is gushing all over him. And he's SO fast! In both programs he's flying. and the emotions. Our boy!! But I have to say, it's really Rukavitsin who's having the Jason Brown-moment in the KnC. Dima seems quite relaxed, while Rukavitsin squeezes his hand, eyes shot, praying to some higher forces:lol:

Alas, it's absurd Ulrich Salchow could wear tights while competing in 1908, while in 2018 it's forbidden. And the ladies are allowed. And the ISU can't come dragging along some argument that "skating is a sport", since it's also a sport for the ladies, and the men in f.i. cross country skiing and speed skating are wearing tights, men jogging all over the globe are wearing tights, and in beach volley and track and field no one, especially not the woman, are wearing any clothes at all:p Sigh....

I blame TTW for I/M's demise. They were doing fine last season in spite of their inability to land SBS jumps. As soon as they joined TTW the wheels fell off the bus.

I’m honestly relieved, I was afraid he’d medal again then bomb the Olympics. I’m convincing myself he will slay in Korea :slinkaway #hearnoevilseenoevilspeaknoevil

Also I’m Team Spider-Man for the podium, just because he’s good and it would piss everyone off :rofl: :respec:
