Yes, it definitely has more impact. I understood and appreciated the previous ending but the program is very dramatic, so it has to end with more drama and intensity than sentimentality.

A lot of it was Sam Chounard from what I understood. But then didn't David Wilson did Prince too ? I'd put my trust in him if so.

When I heard thatTracy Wilson from the SD at Canadians: "It has been said that the rhumba is a vertical expression of a horizontal wish". Haha.
Me too. Tracy is always very proper. Giggle. She was excitedWhen I heard that![]()
I thought the overall impression was much better, not because necessarily of the music cuts, but thank to the reworking of the technical. I really had an issue with those step sequences and now it's much more smoother. I did like the previous ending (so elegant) but I completely understand they want the new "Olympic" one. Somehow they'll put that previous ending on one of their show numbers in the futureInteresting to see the changes Virtue/Moir made to "Moulin Rouge" at Canadians. Seems like they agreed with those of who felt the second half lacked oomph and was a bit flat. Very ham fisted music edits though.![]()
An entire FD can't be tango because of something in a requirements that makes it practically mandatory to have a slow part.Blah I thought they would listen to me and end with the tango oh well. I want the tango part only.
Still it's better, but they skated a tad cautiously.
Change of tempo is required no ?An entire FD can't be tango because of something in a requirements that makes it practically mandatory to have a slow part.
I think that's what it is called! Thank you!Change of tempo is required no ?
Well, there have been entire tango FDs also in the current times, but those were either to several tango pieces in different tempos or to one tango piece that had changes in tempo inside itself. Of course, if Virtue/Moir did a tango FD, it would most likely have to be to at least two tango music pieces as well. Just ' El Tango de Roxanne' wouldn't do, besides, it's not even that long.An entire FD can't be tango because of something in a requirements that makes it practically mandatory to have a slow part.
So what did people think of Gilles & Poirier's free?
The music is louder so it probably has a stronger feel in an arena than the Perry Mason; but personally, I hate James Bond so I'm really the wrong person to ask here.
Same here, I don´t even like Wakaba´s program.
I thought it was okay, especially for a 1st outing. It's a bit sad that it's still an October program because they have a month left only, it could have grown. So what did people think of Gilles & Poirier's free?

I hardly see any team keeping an olympic program for the next year (too bad that the opposite is often doneMaybe they can use it again next year?
They could do 4CC. They won't be in the TE, so that would be about 3 weeks in between. 4CC ends on the 28th and the SD is on the 19th of Feb. Not sure they will though.I think Gilles/Poirier's FD is better and more attention grabbing than their previous one, also more accessible. It was the right move but the program still looks very new and I'm not getting any story line or anything from it. Not sure how I feel about the new curve lift but I think that straight line lift has more oomph here with the new music. They might need another outing with this but with how close Olympics is I'm not sure they'll be able to do that.
Only because W/P had that rough SD yesterday, they were 8 points behind G/P. In the FD W/P beat them by 7 points, so total score was one point spread. Doesn't matter, WeaPo are Canadian #2. I didn't expect them to overcome 8 points but they sure almost did!Is it the first time that G/P beat W/P?
Ok I'll just come out first and say I'm absolutely not sorry about that one. I loved it and it's the only Muse program I thought worthwhile.https://www.instagram.com/p/Bd5UW_5F6Ow/?taken-by=pennycoomes
Coomes/Bukcland going back their 2015-2016 muse FD - New version.
