Rippon & Brown. However, I really want Max there but I can’t see it happening, his nice outfits and tight pants deserve to get to the Olympics
I don't think that other US guys have a realistic shot at the podium in Pyeong Chang anyway so it's a weak argument. Olympics are not just about winning or garnering medals, otherwise it would be pretty deserted event in many sports. Why would they want to send Jason if he has no chance of standing on the Olympic podium even if he skated clean? Jason has to hope that his rivals bomb big time in order to stand on the podium.

I'm pretty certain this will be Max's last season (although I don't think he has stated that, it's just my assumption)

Nathan had a rough season but is improving so he is likely to win.
I voted Rippon and Brown but Rippon seems much more confident this season so far. So, it could be a toss up between Brown, Aaron and Zhou (the ice is slippery, etc. etc.)
edit: spelling
Yes he won but not like he did at 2017 US Nationals. He can't make those kinds of mistakes coming up.Rough season? He won both GPs and the GPF!

Why does Latvia bother to send Deniss Vasiljevs? Why would Malaysia bother to send Julian Yee? Why does Uzbekistan bother to send Misha Ge?
All three of whom I would rather see skate than many who, I suppose, stand a chance to be on the podium.
Whatever you think of any of the US skaters, this particular argument has always made zero, nada, zilch sense to me.
What I meant is if Max is 3rd, and Jason is 4th at Nationals, I don't think Max should be shafted by Jason, as Jason isn't a medal contender for the Olympics in the individual event and hasn't been on the podium at Worlds. However, if Jason is 3rd, and Max is fourth, then of course Jason deserves to go to the Olympics. US is a medal contender in skating, therefore they send athletes who will bring home a medal. For other countries with no shot at winning a medal in skating or other sports, the athletes are just happy to be participating in a once in a lifetime event.
