Have you seen Aliona Kostornaya?Hard to believe that she is Eteri´s student. She is too much polished to be one of her students.
She is exquisite and also one of Eteri's girls

Petrov is out of Skate America, injured his right leg. He may take part in Golden Spin but that will depend on whether he can recover in time. He intends to skate at Russian Nationals.

I'm behind with CoC, and I just saw Tsurskaya (NHK) and Zagitova (CoC) back-to-back, and I would beSorry, folks, but I think she does Medvedeva better than Medvedeva other than the history of consistent jumping. It's like they fused the DNA of Med with a classic skater like Kadavy.
Better natural speed....and power in jumps (although to be fair I'd need to see them both live to compare), better back, better line, better extension, better positions, better musical interpretation. Other than a history of consistent jumping, just....better.
Totally agree with thisI'm behind with CoC, and I just saw Tsurskaya (NHK) and Zagitova (CoC) back-to-back, and I would befor a team of Medvedeva, Tsurskaya, and Sotskova.
I get why Zagitova gets the tech scores, but, movement-wise, there's so much noise and extraneous, unnecessary movement.
I hope Voronov can hold it together in the Lp. It would be nice for a change to have a Russian guy live up to their potential for a whole competition and not just show flashes of it here and there.
No. This was posted in late September:Speaking of which, have we seen Kovtun anywhere?
Kovtun is scheduled to begin his international season at Skate America.Kovtun had to withdrew from Skate Canada due to his old back injury

He showed good form, scoring 170+ in FS, when he won CS Minsk Ice Star in late October: http://www.figure.skating.by/competition/Ice_Star_2017_CS/CSBLR2017_Men_FS_Scores.pdfI hope Voronov can hold it together in the Lp.
I've been waiting for Tsurskaya for what feels like 2 years. Thank you, God, for sending her.
Not just because I LOVE her like I wanted to love Pogo but because finally a Russian lady has come along to show us what's wrong with ISU judging.

If ISU wants PCS to matter more going forward, we have to stop tying the scoring so tightly to TES prowess. Otherwise, just got back to 6.0
Go, Tsurskaya, for the 3rd spot!!!
Easily the best 'skater' out of Eteri's camp. Still, the choreo bugs me a little. She literally stood on center ice and mimed for 5 seconds before she started to skate. And that abrupt mime ending as well... Free Polina from Averbukh!
Miming is a art. There is nothing juvenile, cheap, tacky or unsophisticated about it at all even though fans online keep implying it is. It's a skill that some of the best dancers and actors even struggle with it. It is artistry regardless of what some fans want to think

Speaking of which, have we seen Kovtun anywhere? Pardon if there was discussion earlier but I haven't been active in this thread.

Sotskova better worry, and Buyanova better start her politicking
that 3rd or 2nd spot will be for Tsurskaya.
The first time I watched Polina´s LP it looked extremly flat, especially the first part, but at NHK it looked really good, and I love her dress. I want her in the olympic podium but mainly I hope she stay healthy so she can continue at least another 4 years.
Folks, seriously, the momentstopped commentating, the russian guys start winning
Well done Voronov, 19th GP, first victory! Great story!
