Or maybe, she can be GeorgeMaybe Averbukh will capture the true spirit of Chopin in his choreography . . . by having Evegenia skate like she is in her late 30's and dying of tuberculosis . . . like a champ.
Or maybe, she can be George Eliot in the Chopin saga.
And I just started to re-read "Middlemarch"I think you mean George Sand.
All those Georges look alike!
Name calling has no place here. if you cant make your point based on facts alone, you can't make it. You owe me an apology.

“For the SD, we fell in love with “Ahora Quien” by Marc Anthony, which had both a Salsa and Rhumba (pop) version,” Koleto said. “Samba do Brasil” (Radio Remix) by Bellini was a placeholder for the second piece for a long time, but we never came across another Samba with the same energy or melodic intricacy. I’m so happy we gave it a chance.”
“In the SD, I want to show a strong character,” Komatsubara added. “The key focus is to be sensual, powerful, and an adult couple. We want to explain our music well with our movements.”
The FD opens and closes with two Barbra Streisand vocals from the Yentl soundtrack – “Where is it Written?” and “A Piece of the Sky”. Sandwiched between to create a change of pace is John Williams’ instrumental End Credits from the 1954 remake of the film Sabrina.

I think Averbukh is going to set the story of Kate Chopin's The Awakening to the music of Frédéric Chopin for a post-postmodern meta-fantasy. Highlights will include--
*Opening mimography expressing the conflict between societal expectations about maternity and the awakening of feminine agency as a liberatory counter-gesture (although, of course, there will be more than one gesture)
*A step sequence in which she moves into a bungalow and experiences sexual awakening for the first time in her life, which will be punctuated by a series of subtle facial twinges during her Biellmann
*The "I can skid while lifting my leg over my head" move followed immediately by a voiceover of Léonce screaming, "I'm back and I know what you did, you strumpet" which will be translated into the official language(s) of the venues in which she competes during the season; e.g. at the Olympics, it will be "나는 돌아 왔고 당신이 한 일을 알고 있습니다"
*Three consecutive jumps--two in combination--to signify her decision to commit suicide by falling into the sea (although she will not fall)
*A denouement in which she skates directly to the judges, thanks them (a meta-reference to her "River Stagnating in You" program), and then slowly crouches until she has disappeared
*Mirai Nagasu in the audience wearing a surgical mask and holding a giant sign that says, "Bitch Stole My Music!!!"
Let me guess, it was actually an old video of Max doing the bullfighter SP footwork?
As for the quad Axel comment...right. I forgot. Max is not allowed to play or have fun on the ice. Any other notable jumper can, but not him.
Max is not, will not ever be and does not wish to be Elvis Stojko. And it's a good thing too.
It's true, though. It'd be like putting Max right alongside Jason and comparing spins. I'm not stupid enough to believe Max would ever win THAT argument.
Anyone who thinks Medvedeva's team even so much as had a flickering thought about deliberately choosing the same music to undermine the fourth-ranked American lady - not even an actual challenger for Evgenia! -is, quite frankly, a delusional idiot.
PS Pretty sure Nagasu's decision on repeating was actually up in the air officially until very recently, also. Are you suggesting the REIGNING WORLD CHAMPION should have to do a last-minute complete change of program just to not be "mean" to a skater who wasn't even at Worlds?

And yet, she still rotates more than Mirai does.![]()
You gonna give Evgenia one since you went out of your way to call her unsportsmanlike and mean?
But I'll stand by it. I'd even say it to your face - once I stopped laughing. There's no way Mirai figured into any of Team Evgenia's considerations when choosing music.

You owe me an apology.
I didn't refer to Med. Only her team. I didn't call them names, i described one of their actions as mean spirited.

I like Mihara a lot and I love her FS choice, but I fear this SP music is a bit too much for her
Not convinved about Hondas progam, too.
Not convinved about Hondas progam, too.
Music suits her, but hm, nothing special for me
It's still lot of time and I like Honda, so I keep on hoping!
