Happy Independence Day to U.S.A.!!

I'm eating cereal but with banana on it to be festive! Of course it's only 9am here.
 
The Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest will be on ESPN2 in about 10 minutes. We'll see what Joey Chestnut does.

This is so disgusting that it's so great to watch. And Nathan's are really great hot dogs.

Absolutely, there have been many more great presidents than the current and the country was founded on principles to celebrate and maintain.

There has to be a "keep it down rule" for a certain length of time for these competitive eating competitions. Honestly, I don't know how these competitive eaters can train and compete in this without messing up their health.

I will only eat high quality all beef hot dogs/corn dogs as well.
 
Happy 4th of July to anyone celebrating :cheer: I spent my morning running errands and I noticed a "lightness" in everyone that i had an interaction with. It was really good to see that.

So for our family the 4th is also my sister and my aunt's birthday, then my cousin's birthday is tomorrow. It's basically a week of Red White and Blue moon. They're having a week long family BBQ in Jamul CA/Tecate MX. But since I'm taking summer classes/ I'm broke I'll just celebrate with :smokin::40beers: and maybe some Netflix with a new found interest, that seems like a very American way to celebrate :D
 
I'm not celebrating today because I'm ashamed of what my country has become in the past year. The freedoms celebrated on this day are under attack to a degree never experienced in my lifetime.
 
I'll be working tonight, as I usually am on holidays; no man is truly free who works for a living! :)

But, more importantly to me, it's my dear old dad's birthday today! So we had an early barbecue in his honor on Sunday, since I'm working and my sister and family are out of town for the week. Charley and I have invited him to our Thursday morning hike, so that will be celebration!

But the system is working. Every day Robert mueller is working for impeachment and removal of Trump. He was appointed by someone trump appointed! Isn't this a great thing showing how America works? Trump will be gone soon.

Mueller cannot impeach Trump. That's not what he is doing. He is investigating the role of Russia in our elections and if there was a connection between Russia and the Trump Campaign. It is overly optimistic to say that Trump will be gone soon. Trump can fire Mueller anytime.

America is not really working. We are stuck with Trump for at least 3.5 years more. This 4th of July is difficult for me, knowing how low our country has fallen in such a short time. Sorry for being such a downer.

I did go out to see the fireworks from a parking lot and enjoyed them. Our area didn't have fireworks this year so I had to go from where I could see those in other parts of the valley. Next year I may just stay in a hotel in central Phoenix or near the Tempe town lake to get a better view.

When Mueller finds something he can't indict Trump( in all likelihood) so he has to go to congress with grounds for impeachment. So that's why I say he is working for impeachment of Trump-It's his only way of fighting Trump. Trump can't fire Mueller without being impeached and removed. All Republicans love Mueller too much.

Well...... :D...... that was then..... Now Dems are seeking votes by offering all sorts of things for free: free green-cards to illegal immigrants, place to live, financial aid, medical care and education to illegal criminals, free education to students, free everything practically, we're giving away tax payers' money, come and take it..... just vote for us, and look "pitiful and needy". Feel the burn and ask what your country can give you, and to some what "not your country" can give you..... :lol:

Which is a load of crap. There are many things we legitimately have to fear, and it's not a bad thing much of the time. If we didn't fear things, we'd undertake a lot of risky behaviors.
