I have been told that Dai is well appreciated for his comments in figure skating events: not only he explains technical matter very well (of course), but audience can percieve is interest about skaters, how "near" he is to his former mates, how he is emotionally related with them. And it's quite clear also for those who don't understand Japanese: just look at his face while he looks at programs and/or interview skaters.

Dai has often said in interviews that he'd like to do on the ice "something never done before". Recently, after interviewing actor Mansai Nomura, he said in studio that he felt inspired to find a way to combine figure skating and traditional Japanese theater. It was just a vague idea at the time, just an inspiration.... and now it's real!!

So proud of Dai-chan!!! First the challenge as stage dancer, now as Kabuki actor. He never ceases to surprise us fans. Art in all forms, fire and passion!!

On 01st December, a new SPOTLIGHT has been aired. This time Dai interviewed movie director Takashi Yamazaki. Dai is quite interested in CGI and special effects. Sometimes he looks as excited, surprised and amazed as a kid.

Dai has been quite busy with Fujifilm, appearing on tv news (live or in recorded interviews) commenting GPF and upcoming Nats.

But... it's time for ice again!!! In a few hours he will be the host of his show Christmas On Ice (Yokohama 16 17 and 18 Dec)

during today's shows Dai apparently did not present a new program: he did a collaboration number with Stéphane Lambiel (Dai had the first costume of Moonlight Sonata, the one he used at 2013 4CC) and a collaboration number with singer Chris Hart.

After 26/12 no news or public appearances live. On 01 January 2017 a tv entertainment show was aired, featuring Dai hired as "acrobatic waiter" in an unusual ramen-restaurant. It was recorded at Yokohama rink, so probably just before XOI.
