Good to see Dai and Nobu enjoying their time in Rio. I love that pic of them together at the swimming venue. I wonder which races they saw that day.

Thanks Laura4!! Dai is as famous as Uchimura senshu, but as usual he doesn't feel important at all. Always humble.

Thanks for the updates, @Pattina! It's very Dai-like for him to be cheering for other athletes and crying on their behalf. I remember he told Mao that ever since he cried for her Sochi performance, he's been unable to hold his tears back now. Such a wonderful person. I hope they don't put Nobu and him on a show now because the two of them would be crying so much together over other people's accomplishments. Beautiful souls <3

Dai's last appearance on FujiTV for live broadcasting was on 16th August (Brazilian time - early 17th in Japan), the day of his last Instagram post.

He was no more present in following broadcasting (19/08 competitions) and he returned to Japan earlier than the rest of staff.

Of course, as soon as he is back, Dai needs a hair-cut!! :D His hair-stylist Chai-san posted this pic last Sunday, pic taken "the other day" (maybe Friday?).

According to some tweets from yesterday, Charlie came out from the backstage whenever Daisuke was on ice to watch him skate. Just like during LOTF. And, some people said that Charlie’s skate was different from the past. He seems to show more of himself while he was skating and they loved it. Many people think that LOTF must have been something really special and important for him as well as for Daisuke. :)

Charlie skated differently on Art on Ice as well. Showed a whole new side to him. I’m sure lotf just increase that even more

Haha...I love the photobomb pic with Dai! And I also love the reunion pic of Dai, Meryl, and Charlie. Hopefully, they'll continue to do more shows together. I'm enjoying this sweet friendship they have with each other. Judging from the comments posted under Meryl's pic, many others seem to feel that way as well. :)

Back to Ice Legends 2016: in the backstage Hiro Yoshida talked with Daisuke and recently the interview has been issued on IFS. Great, great interview. Dai speaks frankly about his issues after Sochi and retirement. He wanted to run away from skating :( Always sincere and humble, open-hearted.

Daisuke skated "Mambo" as encore. According to many reports, the audience went on fire and in the end cheered him loudly with a standing ovation, including the Japan Open judges :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: But his encore has not been aired :mad::mad::mad:


Dai-chan has been guest to NHK Radio show, that will be aired on October 10th. It's a special edition.

Short (too short :() presentation of Stars Greeting in Hawaii with Dai and Shizuka Arakawa. The event will take place in Honolulu on 11 and 12 September. Dai will skate "Time to Say Goodbye", the exhibition number Kenji choreographed and Daisuke planned to skate in Sochi and later at Worlds 2014 as good-bye to figure skating.
