I feel like my list of things to worry for Yuzuru has been lengthened.

if he does it like that in competition It should go straight +3 across the board

That was one of the most exquisite short programs I have ever seen, equal to Mao Asada's Chopin SP at 2014 Worlds. Both the technique and artistry just appeared effortless, and he seemed to be the embodiment of the music. Congrats to his choreographers too for creating such a beautiful vehicle.

Just a shame it's only 9.18 in transitions. There were transitions everywhere and they were absoulately exquisite

Such amazing fluidity and freedom from Hanyu today. Few skaters capture the spirit and flow of the music the way he does. and of course the jumps. Wow.

Fluidity. That's exactly the word I was thinking of when I watched this. It was like a warm knife through butter how he moved out there. No awkwardness whatsoever.

love it when his warrior spirit comes out because he really rises to the occasion when not many others can. Jin had put up a huge score for his sp and then for Yuzu to come out and do that? Special.

Really, he and Jeff Buttle seem to have together found the recipe for world record short programs. His PW sp was wonderful and fit him perfectly, now this one, totally different in style, is wonderful as well. Wonder if Jeff would do a long for him sometime... or would his choreography be so intricate that poor Yuzu would be too tired by the end, lol? !!

Holy smokes! I dont have words for what Hanyu put out at this event. No matter what happens in his career from here what he did here is something for a time vault. Truly special and memorable.
