I feel very happy for Brian Orser, after the disappointments he suffered at the Olympics and the recent (after 2010) fallout with Yu na. It is nice to see him as a very successful coach, with two top men in the current field as his students.
Three top if you count Nam.
Orser has coached 2 GOATs. What other skating coach can claim that?
A fan calculated the maxim scoring potential of Patrick, Javier, and Yuzuru's program with all Level 4/+3 GOE/100 PCS:Well Orser was very lucky to be able to coach Yuna and Hanyu but still he had to do his job so it's amazing achievement
My favorite interview at NHK was the one after gala. During the interview, Yuzuru said thank you a lot to the coaching team at Cricket Club, he said they played an important role in his achievements.I feel very happy for Brian Orser, after the disappointments he suffered at the Olympics and the recent (after 2010) fallout with Yu na. If you wanted to see a memorial to John Curry, it was provided by Yuzuru Hanyu in Nagoya last weekend. During the NHK Trophy, the penultimate event of the international championship season, the 20-year-old Japanese figure skater became the first man to record over 200 points in the free skate, and the first to top 300 overall. Above and beyond mere marks, however, Hanyu unfurled a long programme that fulfilled all the promises Curry had ever made about the potential of his sport to attain the condition of art.
Hanyu, blessed with boy-band looks, wore an oyster-coloured tunic trimmed with purple and glittering with jewels as he spun like a sycamore seed in a light breeze through the jumps that studded his historic long programme. And nobody, the morning after, was going to confront him with coded questions about masculinity and athleticism. In a darkening world, there at least was a point of light.
Here is another view of the Kiss and Cry, you can see how Yuzuru showed his respect towards Orser: https://twitter.com/W_YZR/status/673046403682205697I think last year, with all his trials and tribulations, cemented for him how much he needed to be training with his team in T.O. and his results this year show how well he can do when he has the right environment/health. Has he ever shown that much obvious respect to his coach before? He was constantly acknowledging/applauding Brian, and even after the SP at SC he grabbed his hand and bowed when he came off the ice, as if to apologize for his poor performance. I know he's very respectful, more so than even many other Japanese skaters, but this outward showing of it this season was something I hadn't seen before.
Meoima, that's not from The Guardian itself but from a blog entry posted by one of the writers. See the link. The Guardian has written an article about John Curry and they mentioned Yuzuru: http://www.theguardian.com/sport/blog/2015/dec/04/yuzuru-hanyu-john-curry-figure-skating?CMP=twt_gu

And the final part:
Still from a Guardian writer. And I have said the article is mostly about John Curry, they just mentioned Yuzuru somehow.Meoima, that's not from The Guardian itself but from a blog entry posted by one of the writers. See the link.
Sorry but I don't consider Nam at the top yet. He is not at the level of Yuzuru and Javier
Yuzuru's new world record short program at GPFJust when I thought I've seen everything this young man blows me away!
What can I say?! What anybody can say?! ORGASMIC!![]()

The GOE is unreal! OMG! 110.95!![]()
I love that despite his score, he still kept his composure and supported Javi by saying "Vamos Javi" in the Kiss and Cry. He has such great sportsmanship. The moment I saw that long, soft like a butter, spread eagle exit from the quad I was like: Oh he's gonna kill me tonight!![]()
I'm glad that he's not letting things get to his head. He seems to be in a good place. Wishing him (and Shoma and Javi) the best. I'd be a happy camper if they round out the podium.

Yuzuru about his own performance: "I'm satisfied with my program today. I was surprised too but I wasn't able to get Level 4 for the step sequence, so I have to practice, I need to practice more. I will just do the... normal. I don't wanna get too excited, too calm, just normal."I almost feel sorry for the other men. You cant even think of competing vs Hanyu when he skates well now it seems. It is amazing to see the master at work though.
