This. Although SofS is pretty effective in person. But they need a non IAM-style FD and choreo that gives off a more mature vibe because that seems to be one of things that’s holding them back.

I really like them but they’re better than SofS and it didn’t feel seamless today either. I just think they’re better than this program.

If you are going to do techno, you need to seem like someone who listens to techno and gets it. They look like they listen to broadway melodies with a backbeat.

It's weird though because LaLa have skated that FD pretty similarly all season and haven't gotten a score so low. I guess we'll see when protocols come out.

FWIW, Jackie Wong called it: "Really strong moments during Lajoie/Lagha's free dance but it felt like it slowed down and came off sync during the last couple minutes, starting with the diag step - should go behind Carreira/Ponomarenko"

I don’t think people are surprised it’s behind C/P.

This is not a team that can pull of quirky choreography. They are one of the teams that is best with something rather traditional where the focus is on the quality of their skating. It will be interesting to see if they can build the scores towards medaling at the Olympics.

If we’re going to judge what we see today (I agree LaLa were a bit tight and can see why the score is what it is), can we just put this behind like three teams who have already gone? I don’t care how nice their skating skills are, this program is not really worthy of a world medal.

FSU: LaLa's programs are BORING. They need to CHANGE. They skate too pretty for this music! They need new coaches! These programs are beneath them! They'll never get to the top with THAT.

ISU Judges Give Generic Program a Generic Score

FSU: WTF , how dare they drop the brilliance of LaLa! They should be on the podium!

These costumes are better but they scream crustations, not robots

Good grief. It was this year’s height of European techno craziness with some great lifts and true dedication to character.
With the scoring in this comp, I bet they get demoted. Cuz this judging panel isn’t a “no movement” group.
