This Junior Worlds established new world record (10) for 3A attempts in Women's Long program.
Previous record was 7 at 2021 Skate Canada.
Since there was one 3A+3T attempt (by von Felten) in the SP, the total 3A attempt at 11 is tied with 21 Skate Canada (4 in SP, 7 in LP) as the most 3A attempts by Women during an event.
Skaters who attempted 3A or quads in the Long program, based on protocol, are as follows.
Clean ones are noted by positive GOE received.
Mao Shimada (+2.17): 4T (+1.90)
Hana Bath (+0.11)
Ami Nakai Fall<, REP<
Tzimpoukakis <<
Inga Gurgenidze <
Arina Kalugina Fall: 4S+2A SEQ(+1.25), 4Sq Fall

Congratulations to all skaters who attempted the most difficult jumps for Women.
I would like to note it is exactly 40 years since unforgettable Midori Ito attempted her first competitive 3A (Fall) at 1984 NHK. Midori landed successful 3As four years later at 88 Aichi Prefectural Championships, 88 NHK and at 89 Worlds. Scott Hamilton, during commentating at 89 Worlds, characterized Midori Ito as "once in fifty years skater". He was absolutely right, but perhaps over-estimated by ten years.
