While I was dusting the bedrooms, I had on the Classic Rock station on the bedroom t.v. I heard Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Pink Floyd) - the whole thing - 10 minutes, Easy Living (Uriah Heep) and Woodstock (CSN&Y). Good dusting music, except I had to go in and turn the t.v. way up for each one and then turn it back down a little during other songs.

Funny - right before I woke up, I was dreaming that I woke up on the couch and the t.v. was on and there was a concert on and they were singing One Fine Morning by Lighthouse (thinking it wasn't them, but it sounded just like the record). And I tried to turn it up - 40-50-60-70 and the screen went blue. And I got up and yelled at the "stupid t.v.".

p.s. - Thanks for making me feel old. *I* was a teenager in the 70's! And still only listen to classic rock and oldies. I don't know the last time I heard One Fine Morning though (which I have always turned up - such a pretty song). I have to go see if I have it on one of my 70's compilation CDs.

John Williams turns 86 tomorrow and, along with the all incredible film scores he's composed, he's also written several Olympic fanfares which we will undoubtably be hearing snippets of over the next few weeks:

Today's American Top 40 - the 70s, was from this week in 1971. I thought, wow, maybe I'm psychic and they would play One Fine Morning, but no, that song must have been popular later in the year.

Now - Breakfast with the Beatles - Old Brown Shoe..........

I had to go listen to Bluebird, and it made me think of My Valentine. They probably played it before 10 a.m. while I was listening to the 70's. When Breakfast with the Beatles is over, I'll go find it on the computer.
