What song are you listening to?

Last night I saw Myles Goodwyn and Jim Henman of April Wine in concert. So, lots of old school rock, a little bit of old school country, and early rock and roll. These are the kinda guys you want around for a weekend party just to hear all their stories of the music scene in the 70’s! :rockstar:

Just found out that Bill Paxton was in a new wave band in the late 80's. Martini Ranch was their name, they released two EPs and then a full length album. They made two music videos, the first sounding like a mix between Devo and early Duran Duran:

How Can The Labouring Man Find Time For Self Culture ?

The second video switches their sound to more like Dead Or Alive. This one has a much better video, thanks to director James Cameron:

Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey

Earlier, this week in 1973: I still have the 45s Basketball Jones (why?), Summer (the First Time) - still gives me chills, and Heartbeat (It's a Love Beat) by The DeFranco Family. :-)

My son just introduced me to the Australian prog band “Karnivool”, and they are totally cool! :p :kickass: :rockstar:

'Sigh' played on that sensuous sax by none other than Praful.
An early morning birthday gift to my ears. (...sigh...)
The smoothest of smooth jazz. :40beers:

Love is Real (chills!) Third John song and I just turned this station on.

Obviously highlighting John this week. (December 8, 1980):(

I was getting bored with the digital music stations on my TV and somehow I ended up on the Jukebox Oldies station...and haven't left it. Hearing songs that I probably haven't heard since the end of high school when the radio was doing the history of rock and roll show after twenty five years since "rock music" became a thing. So here's one where I couldn't help but think, "hey, that's a good song"!!

Gene Pitney - 24 Hours From Tulsa

I've been listending to Amazon Music. I'm an Amazon Prime member and they have a special $.99 for 3 months of unlimited so I jumped on it. I use to subscribe to Napster for $12 a month but I let the subscription run out in the summer. I do miss it at times but so far Amazon has been decent.

Anyway, I uploaded some of my music(CD) to Amazon over the weekend. I've been listing to Queen quite a lot and Madonna. I have to say my favorite Madonna Albums/CDs are Bedtime Stories, Erotica, Celebration, Ray of light and Confessions of a Dance Floor. Confessions of a dance floor is maybe my favorite Maddy CD. I love 90% of the songs and it's great dance music. I listen to it when cleaning, getting ready for work/driving to work, or just as pick me up My favorites are "Hung up", "Sorry", "Jump", "Get Together".

White Christmas - Ringo They are putting in Beatles Christmas songs and individual ones and their Christmas messages to fans between other songs. :-)

While we were out for an early New Year's Eve dinner, the song "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" was playing. I was hoping I'd get through the entire holiday season without hearing the song even once, but it was not to be! :(:slinkaway
