What song are you listening to?

Love Me Do - Beatles (duh!)

I had that 45. P.S. I Love You was on the flip side. It ended up at my friend's house because we used to take records back and forth. Her sister sold all their 45s at a garage sale years later, including that one and some others of mine. ARGH!

Good grief - just hit "post reply" and Sexy Sadie came on!!!

I can't believe this, but I am really liking that Justin Bieber song, "Sorry." I blame Virtue/Moir. I had liked the song already, but my interest in it grew after seeing their sexy performance to it at Ice Legends. Now I'm semi-obsessed.

Been painting which means lots of tunes.
Full albums:
Yes - 90125
Yanni - Live at the Acropolis
Anderson Bruford Wakeman & Howe - self titled
Saga - World's Apart
Breaking Benjamin - Dear Agony
David Garrett - Rock Symphonies
Alan Parsons - Tales of Mystery and Imagination
and of course, Kansas - Left Overture, Point of Know Return, and the debut self titled album.

Moving this thread up on a Sunday morning.............

And I Love Her - Beatles. They are celebrating Paul's birthday today because next Sunday will be a day too late.

Well, here we are again on Sunday morning!!! I was stuck in genealogy stuff, and didn't get here in time to say "Free As A Bird". I wanted to remark on that because I remember the day they said they were going to play this longlost song for the first time at noon and I made sure I was out at lunch and in the car. I can't tell you exactly what traffic light I was sitting at at the time.

p.s. - I might be related to Pilgrims!!! Sheesh...........

Rats, everybody came here <my dad's mom's dad's family :-)> (to Pennsylvania and Virginia) in the early 1700's from Germany. Oh well.

To stay on subject - haven't gotten up to turn the radio off after Breakfast with the Beatles........Sultans of Swing is "what song I am listening to" at the moment.

Listening to one of the most beautiful songs I think I've ever heard. I fell in love with Mary Chapin Carpenter's song from the movie, Fly Away Home. I found the whole version of the song on YouTube.

10,000 Miles

For some reason, I thought of Jason Brown or even Ashley Wagner choosing it for one of their long programs. I truly believe they could make the program their own with such elegance and artistry.

So thanks to the She Loves Me livestream from Broadway HD last week I've been on a Laura Benanti kick and I bought her live album from 3 years ago. I've found myself kind of obsessed with her mashup of Ellie Goulding's Starry Eyed with Lana Del Rey's Video Games.
I've been listening to it a lot.

Ticket to Ride.

(I don't know how to find the old thread, so...Remember the "kid" next door who left the dog <Patch> out all night and has the mufflerless cars? Parents must have been gone cause they had a party. I smelled lighter fluid or something about 9:00, looked out the bedroom window and they had a bonfire (it wasn't even freakin' dark yet).......went to the bathroom at 11:15 and still smelled the lighter fluid again. They were all inside by then. Looked out the bedroom window and saw smoke. Waited 15 minutes and got dressed and went over, knocked on the door, kid answered. I said are you going to put out that fire? He said we were just going to let it burn out. I said it isn't. He said I'll check on it. I said pour water on it. He said thank you. 15 minutes later, he went outside with a flashlight and LOOKED AT IT and went back inside. 15 minutes later (we're past midnight now) cars were gone, could see t.v. on in upstairs bedroom - *I* got a half bucket of water cause that's all I could carry at a time, climbed the hill and poured water on it. Didn't help. Did that three more times. The underside of a log was still crackling, but the smoke was gone. So every 15 minutes till 2:00, I looked out the bedroom window. Tried watching a rerun of Flashpoint and it was about a FIREMAN in the hospital. Geez. Next time, I'm calling the fire department!!!!! Should I tell his mother? I really, really hate to make enemies of the next door neighbors.)

Now the song is Do You Want to Know a Secret.

The lead singer of Alabama is on the list of all time sexy voices. Brad Paisley did a semi-cover of one of their songs and I was like, no. Give me back Randy.

If you saw the James Bond Spectre film do you remember the opening scene in Mexico City? I cannot get those drums..leading to familiar Bond music...out of my head. I'm not sure I want to...I like them.

Had my iPod on shuffle which is something I don't do very often.
So, I listened to Styx Suite Madame Blue, then something from Lord of the Rings, then Deep Purple I'm a Highway Star, then How do You Solve a Problem Like Maria, then Kansas Cheyenne Anthem, then Ludovico Einaudi Divenire, then something from Dream Theater and then Eva Cassidy Fields of Gold.
Now I'm watching soccer.....
