Voids aside, so that would be the first triple-triple performed at Worlds (I believe he had already done it at Junior Worlds).
And also a couple of 1 1/2 jumps, which were on their way out of fashion.

Yes, and Midori Ito was the first female to complete a triple/triple in competition at the 1982 Worlds Championships. She landed a triple/triple toe loop.

Does anyone have a copy of Davis/White's 2007 Skate America performance of Eleanor Rigby/Eleanor's Dream? Because that is my fav D/W performance ever and I'm remember thinking it was very voidy (only that particular performance though -- they later changed the music edits and costuming and it became voidless dreck).

I don't have a link for this but I enjoyed Emanuel Sandhu's 2005-2006 FS to modern music. He did not have a great skate at the Torino Olympics, which I just watched on TV, but I love this program.

Most skaters go for more conservative music choices in an Olympic year, but not Sandhu. The music and choreography are unusual and abstract but completely fascinating.

I have gotten so superstitious about all things ice dancing related it is absolutely awful lol. It's a sign of how invested I am. I guess I'll just say mildly that I have re-thought my initial feelings about G/P's victory in '94 over the years. I've never been a fan of theirs (although I have come to admit Memorial was a great program elsewhere already) but in retrospect I think some of the reaction was pretty over-the-top. It's like ice dancing fans complain about protocol judging but then when something genuinely surprising (ish) like this happens they complain about that too.

I'm a huge fan of G&P but even I will admit that their programs that year left a lot to be desired. But I can understand why they won. By scrapping content in favour of speed and youthful energy, they finally grabbed the attention of the judges. Because with good content and skating in previous years, the judges barely noticed them. You have to admit it was a clever strategy and it worked. They won the Olympic gold even though it was arguably for the wrong reasons. But it's clear that the judges didn't care about content back then. If they did, D&D or U&Z would have never have come close to K&P.

I may have mentioned this free dance in another clip, but Kelly Johnson and John Thomas really go to town with the music, choreography, and rule-stretching.

Commentator, Debbie Wilkes, isn't too sure about the program. But I thought it was really eye-catching.

I forgot when I mentioned Lu Chen's Last Emperor that it wasn't the first time Toller had choreographed to this music. Petr and Janoschak also skated to it in 1990, with choreography by Toller:
