Unpopular Opinions

Lol @Simone411 we posted the same clip. She holds it up, then let's go and keeps her leg up there. This would have counted as a difficult variation in IJS. It's different from letting the free leg drop after you let go of it.
I guess I didn't consider that part of the spiral after she removed her hand. Maybe it was a half spiral? Whatever it was, I like it because she managed to keep her leg in that position.

Oh! It did confuse me when we posted at the same time. I thought at first that I double posted the link to the video!

I am all for winning, but not winning at the expense of sportsmanship.

U.S. Figure Skating's provisional decision to name Jason Brown to the Worlds team runs contrary to basic principles of sportsmanship.

Given that Torgashev beat him at NHK and his TES is at a Jimmy Ma level, I don't see why Camden Pulkinen can't be sent.

This decision is akin to if they had reserved a 1986 Worlds spot for Dorothy Hamill. Jason got his Olympic Bronze in 2014 :cold:

Might as well give Timothy Goebel a World Team berth, too, then. He won silver at Worlds in 2002 and won a bronze medal at the 2002 Olympics.

In that case, there is a soon-to-be, if not already, former ambassador to Belize who might have some available time (for those fearful of the current women's assignments) ...

Ah, the silly season has arrived! :)

On that note, I observe that Nobunari Oda, aged thirty-six, recently landed a better quad in competition than Jason Brown has in his entire career or is likely to do between now and his thirty-seventh birthday. :p

Well, Okay. And here is my spoiler pick. Her original program was very good, and she was fun, too!

Might need to find another skater for the free skate, however.
