Ben Stiller just said that making Tropic Thunder is one of his favourite movie experiences, but that it probably couldn't get made today because of its controversial moments (namely, its representation of a mentally challenged individual, and RDJ in blackface)
If it were made today, do you think:
1. RDJ would still be praised and receive an Oscar nomination
OR
2. Studios would shut it down before it got made for fear of controversy
OR
3. It would get made but face a LOT of backlash
OR
4. People would ignore it in theatres, not wanting to give it $ because of the controversial aspects
OR
5. It would get made and be well received and still be awesome
OR
6. Some random combination of the above statements/something different
