They should NOT skate to...

I know we have the "they should skate to" music ideas thread. In the opposite vein, I'm interested in knowing what music pieces FSUers think need a minimum of a 1-year moratorium for all skaters/teams.

You know - Moulin Rouge, Ghost, Buble, Moonlight Sonata, Turandot, The Irrepressibles, etc. Start listing off what you don't want to hear at all next season!

Notre Dame de Paris. Les Mis.

Orchestral music arrangements for voice. Tinkly piano arrangements of good music. The latest Disney song appealing to eight-year-old girls. Screetchy soprano voices in any genre. "Hallelujah" performed by skaters who think it's from the same genre as "Ave Maria." Music that doesn't have a beat set to a beat track. Endless reams of "atmospheric" music, especially in Dance, that doesn't require a skater to have any kind of precise response to it. Music recorded at 33 that is being skated to at 16.

My must-not skate to list includes:

The Fifth Element soundtrack
Notre Dame de Paris
Les Miserables
Donna Summer (she's boppy but I'm over it already between last season's RDs and both Chiba & Liu re-using their Donna Summers programs again this season)
Umbrellas of Cherbourg
Tree of Life Suite
Bolero
Michael Jackson

I know what people are talking about when they say "cover," but Frank Sinatra's "My Way" is a cover, most of what Ella Fitzgerald and most jazz singers sing/sang is a cover, anyone who sings Tevye besides Zero Mostel is singing a cover, etc. and I think we have to be careful what we wish for.

Cover of popular music written from the Rock and Roll age and on?

I think we need to list some specific covers that are just bad and not good for skating - or maybe specific artists whose musical style does not lend itself well to covers of past hits.

So many specific rather than categorical ones that I'm scrambling to find the names of, because I've tried to suppress the memories:

Sarah Brightman singing Nessun Dorma
Andrea Boccelli singing anything, but specifically the Caruso song and especially
Io ci saro
Anything by Laura Fabian, but especially Adagio.
