"The Walking Dead": Any fans here?

I can't even imagine how freaking weird it would be, first of all, to try to survive living with zombies in existence, and then to try to start living like a normal human being again in an actual community. That would be so confusing.

Wishing we'd seen Carol hose Daryl down, keep her word. These producers are mean!

Also...that guy at the end of the preview for next week better not have been shooting at Daryl or there will be serious consequences.

Yes, McBride continues to kick ***.

Okay, so Father Gabriel is missing from this episode. Has he been disappeared/written off?

Also, whatever happened to Rosita (Abraham's partner)?

ETA: Okay, Rosita is present in a few shots, though in the background. Gabriel is present in the background in a few of the shots when they arrive at the community - though notably absent from the scenes in the house. I guess we should assume he's making peace with his past and his faith alone in one of the other rooms.

So I finally saw last night's episode and loved the change of pace. It was interesting to see the group try and adapt to something of a normal life. But what does Rick mean at the end?

When he said, referring to the people in Alexandria, either they change or he will take Alexandria from them?! sounds like we will be getting a more sinister Rick & Co. maybe?!

I just took it to mean that if they were incapable of defending themselves, he would take it over so that it could be defended. It's already been established that many of them are idiots who wouldn't last two minutes outside the walls. Plus, now he's the sheriff. And he has Carol as a secret, sweater wearing weapon...

I liked this episode a lot. As others have said, great scene between Glenn & the son, and Carol was a riot in the interview and her new outfit LOL. And how self conscious did Rick look in his brand new Sheriff's outfit! I wonder what they are going to do with Daryl....

He'd probably be more comfortable going out scouting with Aaron. He's a good tracker and would make a good backup for Aaron since Aarons BF is sidelined with a broken foot.

Which cast members are going to get killed off? There is a finite number an ensemble cast can have before they all start running together. Eugene? Tara? Half of the named Alexandrians? Rosita? It's a fine line with keeping the show interesting. They can't just wander around in the woods with no destination and they can't settle into suburbia because who cares? The comics don't make life all that easy in Alexandria but Kirkland has changed up characters so much between the show and the comics, it's difficult to know what they have in mind. But, I hope they have Daryl drop his emo-angsty self as that's getting boring. :kickass: Daryl and Carol are fine. Junior League Carol and moody Daryl and we should just put them out of their misery. .

Not sure if Deanna bought into Carol's story. If Deanna is half as smart as I think she is, she would at least have serious doubts.

What's the deal with Enid?! There are two theories right now. The first has her as a replacement for comic book Sophia, and the second theory has her as a mole/spy for the Scavengers.

Who are the Scavengers?

Enid is clearly up to something, and I don't know that it is in the interests of the Alexandria community.

Oh dear....
I'm afraid of what Rick & Co. are up too.

Not again!!!

What on earth does this show have against animals?!?!

I think Alexandria is exactly what it looks like and Rick & Co. are the bad guys. But the Scavengers is not too far off and things in the cozy little town time forgot are gonna change fast.

There must indeed be plenty of food there because that one woman is......healthy. You would think a side benefit of the zombie apocalypse would be that you slim down whether you want to or not...

I like Daryl and Aaron together, though I suspect Aaron was indeed following Daryl, and may have overheard the conversation about guns.

I haven't read any posts as I've been busy and haven't been able to searching for the new episodes yet. Until today when I checked at imdb.com to see what the episode titles are and then start looking for the new episodes. In one of the 20-word episode descriptions, it talks about people dealing with Tyreese's death. They could have written it to say, members of the group react to the death of one of their own. I expect details of the show to be dissected in the long write-ups and on the message board, but not where one goes to find the names of each episode... :angryfire

Well, that episode aired in what? December?

Though someone on previously.tv got upset that someone spoiled a Buffy episode, from like 10? 15? years ago, so.... ;)

Anyway, on previously.tv, most people seem to think Rick touched his gun because he wanted to kill Pete. But I thought he touched it because he heard the walker at the fence.

Discuss.

I think it was a reflexive 'want to kill Pete' gesture. In part because Rick is so insanely drawn to Jessie (and can't seem to help himself), but also in part because Pete is creepy. That was immediately evident in the scene where we first met him on the porch of his house, and all the more evident in the clip with the next-episode clip of Rick and Pete they showed on The Talking Dead. Pete is 'not a good guy', to use Aaron's words.

I'm not so sure Rick is a "good guy". Good is a relative term in WD Universe. I'm more concerned about why Michonne hung up the kitana. What is she thinking? This trusting let's all be safe Michonne is a charactter change and I'm not certain why they're going in this direction with her. I know the peace is an illusion about to be shattered, but it still made me yell at the TV.

Proud of Eugene. From peeping at Abraham and Rosita having sex to this.

I am so sad Noah dies not because I like him or anything. It's hinted anyway when suddenly he is having this bench talk with the "architect" talking about wanting to do something. I am sad because he was the one Beth and Tyreese lost their lives for and he only lasted a few more episodes.

So I guess the catch with Alexandria is that everyone is a coward (presumably because they have been safe for so long). The gang's gut instinct is right. When you stay comfortable for too long, you become weak.

I am however not getting why Carol would suggest Rick to kill Jessie's husband. She might have been a battered wife herself, but they are not vigilantes.
