So what sort of condiments and sauces do you like? What might we find appealing or BLECH? Or what is popular in your country? For example I always liked ketch-up on my scrambled eggs for years. Yum. ;)

I find I like Duke's mayo. It is very eggy and works well in recipes.

I like Heinz 57 steak sauce....on my baked potatoes.

And you?

Agree with the Duke's mayo. Lovely stuff.

Sambal oelek, especially on fried noodles. Or a very small spoonful added to stir fry if the stir fry needs livening up.

Soy sauce and black pepper on grilled salmon.

Thai sweet chili sauce has become a staple. And I always travel with a small tube of mustard, and usually a bottle of hot sauce, too. I find both my fridge and cupboard have condiments taking up a lot of space.

Pickles count as condiments, correct? If so,

Salsa
Tamarind or mint or cilantro chutney (don't know why but I never liked mango chutney)
Sambal
Kimchi
Mango achar
Basil pesto
Raita
Tzatziki
Toum
Hummus

I love tzatziki, but only the kind made with thick Greek yogurt. Haven't had any for quite a while, hope the Mediterranean deli I get it from is still in business.

I hate all condiments. People don't understand how I can eat burgers, dogs, sandwiches with no condiments. I just say BLECH to all of them!! Except salsa with chips when I get Mexican food. :P

Me too! Plus most of them are not healthy. Ketchup has more sugar than a candy bar. Mayo has a lot of fat, unless u get the fat free ones.

I only used mayo for tuna fish, never for other sandwich spreads. Not crazy about mayo, so I started buying horseradish sauce instead, & I mix the tuna fish with that now. I like the taste of it much better than mayo (especially the chipotle kind).

I use it for egg salad, also.

And of course, for potato salad.

Another no condiments person. I hate the sweetness of ketchup, mustard is yukky (unless in a recipe, and then it must be dijon), and pickles are yukky so relish is out. I don't mind a bit of salsa with a taco or fajita (but no sour cream, please), but no mayo with anything. An ideal burger has cheese (real cheese of course and maybe some caramelized onion and lettuce. And pepper- must have pepper. And fries are salt only. Ever.
