Rolling Stones for the SD and MR for their FD -- wow! I am sooooo pumped to see their programs I can hardly wait. Alas, it will have to be at home for me, no travelling out of city

Are you sure? I mean any Canadian skater didn't post nothing about HPC yet. Just wonder, what is going on.

Last season I liked their SD way more than their FD, stylistically speaking, and also their Carmen is one of my fave skating programs ever, so I'm pretty pumped about them (apparently) not heading in soft-and-lyrical direction with their new programs. Not a fan of Moulin Rouge but I'm all for Tessa & Scott bringing the drama!

Can't wait to see/hear the actual programs/music selections!

I like the FD choice too. I've always pictured Moulin Rouge as a music choice that Weaver/Poje should use.

I think Virtue and Moir will do a good job with it.

Yeah, the first 20 seconds or so sound vaguely Latin-y, but the rest absolutely does not. And neither does the rest of the Stones' discography. Scratching my head over this one.

When I first posted the rumors here I honestly did so thinking they were absolutely not true lol. Well hold and behold. I wasn't thrilled about the idea at first despite loving the movie and soundtrack, but it makes sense why they went for it; now nobody can say they're just doing another lyrical program. I hope it surprises us like Carmen.

MR will work. We forget sometimes that V/M have some interesting resources at their disposal. Remember that section between Pilgrims and Latch where they worked with someone to create a unique piece to tie the two together? I'm sure they can come up with some interesting music cuts.

Sympathy for the Devil is arranged to a samba rhythm. Google it. It's a challenging, inspiring out of the box choice imo.
