I wish V/M fans would stop sniping about P/C, it's so old and condescending. We haven't even seen their programs yet, calm down.

I doubt very much that anybody at Gadbois told Dave anything about anybody..He is personna non grata in Mtl & other places in Canada. I think there is only 1 person in Mtl talking to him & it is not an ice dancer.

But last season he dis interviews with VM, HD, watched practiece in Mtl.
It was joirnalist, who said him.

Then he went psycho during cdn's this yr trashing top skaters camps choreographers when he had not even watched the competition (us took place the same time & he had one of his non-skating minions watch it for him)so you might have noticed no interviews this yr.
 
I wouldn't be surprised if current skaters and coaches decided to not speak to him or grant him exclusives for video interviews. Especially when there are alternatives now that didn't exist as recently as the beginning of last season.

Not sure what you're referring to.
No one is sniping about P and C.
ONE poster mentioned that P and C seem to use a strength of Tessa and Scott's which is ballet.
I agree Tessa and Scott have not proven it to be a strength or a weakness as a team. While P and C have.
Part of the uber wars comes from people exaggerating comments either in tone or numbers. Even in your apology you still said "some" when it was in fact only one and the tone you implied wasn't even really there.
 
As for MR for them, I admit I'm not thrilled, but I'm not going to make any judgement until I see the programme. If in fact that's what they are doing.
I certainly wouldn't accuse them of playing it safe.
We will see.
As for overuse I defer to you skating nerds (lovingly meant of course) to rack up all the names of skaters using this music this far. But I'm guessing it's widespread over the disciplines and levels of skaters.

I definitely didn't mean that other athletes were not doing off ice training. It is the type of exercises their trainers that they are making them do I was referring to. I follow their athletic therapists and admire their professional work as well.
 
Sad, they didn't use this song for FD, esp in aragment Jeff Buttle used? Where they found MR at all? I even never read they like this movie.
 
I think a MR FD has the potential to be a lot more interesting and memorable than a Rolling Stones FD (P&B did one right?). But to use that song for a samba section in the SD sounds fun.

If she's is dropping hints now it means we will probably hear news when HPC starts.

@pani we are purely speculating here.....maybe it is the FD or maybe the tweet has nothing to do at all with their music choices :) Do not worry darling! All will be well!
 
If you google a bit about the song it's arranged to a samba beat so I think it's SD.

I like that they are doing the unexpected. We already saw them do ballroom latin twice and know they can do that. It's fun, for us and them, to do a different take and what one should expect from a team like them. Take a risk and show something out of the box.
 
Guys, I just love classical rock and Rolling Stones. I like Alban Preaubert LP on RS songs. But don't like PB FD, because they used too many songs.
They did Samba in FD, so I had hope they will use other Rythm, bachata for example.
 
If they're using Sympathy for the Devil (great choice!) for a samba section in the SD, I wonder what they'll be using for the pattern....

I can see the crowd really getting into it (who doesn't want to say "Woo Woo!"?), which is always fun.
 
Hi, I'm just a very long time lurker and I guess I'm compelled to post by V/M's last season. It seems like everyone here and elsewhere is mad about the possibility of MR, but I trust that if they do MR, it will be still be interesting and great. I totally understand why they would want sweeping music that draws the audience in given their past Olympic experience. Also, it doesn't mean that they will have the same music cuts or program feel as others before them. I think they've proven that they can take music and do something different and unexpected with it. It feels like people freak out and diss music choices and then calm down once they see the programs every year so I understand why Tessa would prefer to have the music debuted with the program! Imo, Olympic music is about appealing to a much wider audience and not just die hard FS fans who know all the history with music choices and overused music.

Also, if they're doing RS for the SD, I'm very excited about that!
