holy lord, that reward challenge. I think the producers probably should have saved that one for a less-hot day, or not made it as long and exhausting as it was. Poor Caleb, I'm glad they put the note up afterwards that he has recovered and is okay, because he did not look good and was barely responding to anything. Didn't even get any final words (unless they'll show them at the end). I'm glad Cydney and Debbie are both okay, that was so scary when one was going down after another and they didn't have enough medical staff to tend to all of them at once.
Jason and Scot are huge asshats and bullies. I didn't see anything wrong with Alecia's comments
Still trying to get the Tai love.. I can see why so many people like him, though.
I was also expecting Peter to jump up and help. Perhaps they told him not to - possible liability issues? - but we all know he's a doctor so it was weird to not have any offer or mention.
I kept thinking about how this season was filmed prior to the last one aired, and wondering what they may have done to modify planned challenges after all this went down (since both seasons took place in Cambodia).
And I don't think that Survivor would tag Peter as an ER doctor if he wasn't one. That seems like such an easy and remedial thing to check.
Really?? I hadn't noticed thatRight. And normally when people's claims about their profession have been questionable, the editors have fun with it, like with Philip back in the season Boston Rob won where they had him tagged as "Secret Agent?" or where they change Debbie's profession depending on what she's talking about at the time.
She also let Peter come in to finish the puzzle without a fuss. Clearly, it was the right decision to make.I haven't quite finished watching the episode but have seen enough to comment. Debbie is starting to really grow on me now. I wasn't so sure last episode mainly because while I did admire her "crazy like a fox" kind of attitude, I also didn't think Liz was all that bad. But this episode, I liked her confessional about wanting to appear strong for her daughters but that she also recognized that Joe did the right thing by calling in medical.
They did show it - Debbie approached him and said that she couldn't let them vote him out and she made sure he stayed. When he was alone, Peter said the tribe was now physically and emotionally weak, and the second the merge happens he will eliminate the others on his tribe one by one. We'll see if things change after he cooled down from the moment (and having gone through that reward challenge and escaped TC).So wait, after watching it (and disliking most of it, as I get enough medical drama at work, and deliberately don't watch medical drama television for that reason), they didn't show the aftermath of last week's vote at the Brain tribe? So we have no idea how Peter reacted with the others on Liz being voted out? I was curious as to how the tribe would spin that one.
Really?? I hadn't noticed that![]()

ETA: I thought I saw some of the Beauty tribe drinking water off to the side to the action. I'm sure once they saw multiple people dropping they handed out water like candy.
I think Peter didn't offer because he was not interested in or feeling up to helping out in what was definitely a medical crisis, Jeff even issued a call to the crew to stop everything and help.
I mean liability to the show. And possibly to Peter. If the show's docs screw something up medically, you bet they are insured up the wazoo to cover it; if another player is performing medical duties and screws something up, that could be a very different story.
The contestants are allowed to drink water during challenges.
What happened to Caleb was very dangerous. Apparently his liver and kidneys shut down. He spent something like 5 days in the Cambodian hospital and was not allowed to go back to Ponderosa. He had to go home.
Here is his interview: http://parade.com/462694/joshwigler...aleb-reynolds-breaks-down-his-emergency-exit/
But still, I don't remember seeing Peter at all except walking around in the background. You'd think he might have been sitting with Debbie (others were) or holding Cydney's hand or something.
I should have known better than to open that linkThis season was very brutal and Liz had to have surgery right after she was voted off.

I knew it was just a matter of time before Survivor turned into the Hunger Games. I KNEW IT.It will turn into literal survivor where the last person alive gets the money.
Something is not right with the health issues this season, leaving the bug in the ear for several days, impossible weight wise cart push challenge, last night's challenge in extreme heat, hidden immunity idols very high up rough and thin trees, a task which requires jumping into the water with a mask already on one's face... wondering if this intentional or just poor planning....

Hard not to step in. We can't interact with other contestsnts. Ocean water is colder than core body temperature....they couldn't hear me...
