Though I've won so many times now that I suppose I'm subconsciously feeling guilty and wanting hubby to win for once :D
 
Board suicide, Survivor style :lol:

I never did go back and watch the premiere, so I don't know the names outside the Brawn (aka the anti-Brain) tribe. Jason's sunburn was glowing in the shade :wideeyes:

I do like that the HII is more complicated than just finding an idol. I wonder how Tai explained his bloody feet and chafed thighs - maybe he was macking on the BB hunk as a CYA move :P

I think the brawn tribe has just proven themselves to have nothing from the neck up at all.

I will say, kudos to idiot blondie for sticking with trying to make fire for 5 hours while the others snoozed. But, uh....taking 5 hours to make fire with flint?? (dunno, I have never tried it, but I would think that if I were trying out for Survivor, I would have practiced before going out there)

I've always said that if I was going on Survivor, before getting out there I'd make sure I could make a fire in the rain with nothing but my buff.
 
Jenny - what did she just do. Crazy! Very entertaining TC.
Alecia is still there - don't mind if she sticks around -as it will annoy some if they get outed before her.
Brawn Tribe - nothing above the neck.
Bounty Hunter - annoying. Those sunburns look bad.

Debby - yes a goat is nice, but she would annoy me so much. In Previously TV - there is a link to an article.

I hate to be mean, but I kind of hope on of the med vacs is due to either Debby or Joe drinking unboiled water.
I liked Joe last week - this week he seems mean.
I did not notice, but someone on PreviouslyTV said he walked along the log, never really carried it during the challenge.

Caleb and Tai - too funny. Caleb is either getting a really good edit, or he grew up.
Cool way to hide the HII - almost makes one have to team with another to get it. Very good twist.
Beauty Tribe - has potential. But they didn't show the 'good looking guy' much.

My thoughts exactly. Hate that I'm feeling like this but can't help it...

I also think it's a distinct possibility; they did give it 'the classic' edit where they show the person bragging about something which then goes completely wrong / the opposite way they intended.

"Our tribe is definitely the strongest and in great shape" - loses next challenge
"I'm safe/I'm the swing vote" - is booted out in the next tribal
"I trust X 100%" - very next scene has footage of X throwing them under the bus
Etc. Etc.
 
I was reading some of the Survivor Twitter comments on sucks last night. Several former players have commented that they never drank boiled water in the game with no ill effects (including Sophie, who won).

Also, Parvati was one of the many who snarked about Jenny's TC meltdown - Jenny then snapped back that it's easy to judge when a 90-minute TC gets condensed into 7 minutes (like 3-time player Parvati wouldn't know that :rolleyes: ), but to keep hating to drive up her ratings (Parvati hosts some Survivor recap thing). Parvati then said she agrees and can't wait to interview Jenny, and now they're friends. Or something.

Also, Max from S30 is a complete tool and seemingly everyone on the planet hates him

It's been stated in previous threads that producers choose what clothing each Survivor gets to take to wear for the time they are on Survivor. We saw (Kyle) Jason wearing hiking boots this episode and Caleb wearing denim jeans. But Tai is out there searching for an idol barefoot and wearing shorts. Seems to me this is unfair in that some contestants are allowed clothing/footwear that will help them achieve more than others who are given clothing/footwear which could lead to injury.

Yeah, I still remember Rudy scoffing at the kids for not drinking the water straight in S1. But Lex and Sandra, among others, have had longterm problems with parasites from doing the same, so I think that varies.

Since they made such an issue out of it, I expect that there will be repercussions.

They all have what they came in wearing (including their shoes), athletic shoes for challenges, and (usually) swimwear; sometimes they are allowed to have an extra shirt or pair of socks. Tai definitely has shoes somewhere in camp, as well as a shirt and whatever else he came in wearing.
 
I really enjoyed tonights episode. I just wish Peter and his smug face was voted out.
But when the showed the original vote - I think Debbie did not like Liz, so she and Joe are the reason Liz is gone.
Or did they keep Peter for challenges and he is next on the block?
I almost expected Debbie to get the boot after the challenge and before the scrambling in the tribe before TC. She has gotten so much screen time.

It is still early in the season - but my opinion has of some people is confused
Debbie - if tonight was the first episode I watched, I would not think she was as crazy as I think she is.
Peter - I definitely did not think before tonight he was so smug, previously I thought he was someone I might like, now - not at all
For the brain tribe - seems like many of them just do not have a clue, or their arrogance over their brain is blocking other information that is right in front of them.

Jason - gets a green bear - too funny -I hope it is his a kid - that would be so sweet.

I so loved the 2 different ways the HII were found.
Cydney - intrigues me - she is playing well so far.

Peter and Liz seem like they would have been better on the stereotypical beauty tribe, as they are not as smart as they think they are.
Caleb - on the stereotypical brawn tribe.

Beauty tribe - 5 of the 6 do not seem like complete idiots. The 3 girls - seem to be doing well.
Tai - have to love him - such a sweet person. Seems like the girls and Caleb are being respective to his feelings, which is nice to see.
The previews for next week - when they show him upset - I think it is that someone else is being medivac'd, not him - he is upset for them - I hope so. He seems like the type of person that will just enjoy the experience and get so much out of it, whether he wins or not.

He could go far, he knows the 3 girls are tight - so he is observant. Physically - I assume he will be a challenge beast - in the best beastmode cowboy way. I am really hoping they show some of his crazy ninja moves when he does them for fun. Great tv.
 
Interesting on now both versions of Brains vs. Brawn vs. Beauty, the Brains tribe is the last to find the immunity idol at their camp :shuffle:

Kind of. That's the same kind of challenge he was supposed to do with Frankie, but he refused to do it and Frankie won it on his own.
 
That was a pretty satisfying episode - although I would have preferred Peter to be voted off. Liz's vote-off confessional was kinda worth it, though.

I am now totally loving Debbie. Aside from being surprisingly shrewd, I am absolutely digging her Survivor fashion. :kickass:

The Brawn tribe is such a hot mess. I do hope Cydney can hang in there until at least the merge. The rest of them can go asap.

I love Tai.
 
If Debbie, Joe, Aubry and Neal were working as a foursome, why not do just one vote with them all picking Liz? Or did they want to have Peter to have two votes to his name in case someone with previous votes in a future tie-breaker would send them home? If that is the case, then the final vote could have been Debbie and Joe voting for Liz and Neal voting for Peter, giving him a third vote to his name.
 
Who cares why? It gave us the beauty of seeing Liz and Peter's exact plan used against them :EVILLE:
 
I would guess they were just doing the same plan of vote splitting in case of an idol. But I would love if someone said they did it to throw Peter & Liz's game back at them.

What jamsey said. Previous votes are no longer considered in a tie breaker.
 
I'm still confused then as it was Neal who some thought might have an idol. But not Liz or Peter. How the vote went down was then like a game where a cat swats around a mouse as it's dying. If you're keeping Peter around to help him win challenges for you, this isn't the "brainiest" way to have treated him.

I'm glad it wasn't Brawn again, although I want to know if Blondie is gonna survive another Tribal Council. Could you believe that she found the clue to the idol? And the big bad Bounty Hunter bullies it from her.

Most of the Brains think they are smarter than everyone else. It was perfect that Liz told Debbie who to vote for in a tone of voice like you'd use for a 10 year old, and Debbie saying yes ma'am, absolutely and then voted her ass out.
:mitchell: More Beauty tribe, Tai is the only one we've really seen much of. I want to be free to hate the guy who thinks he's gorgeous, but he hasn't done anything yet.

Isn't it almost time for them to become 2 tribes, that always stirs the pot, I guess we have to get through the medical emergency next week first.

It's still the best show on TV
 
I know tribe members thought Debbie was annoying or bat**** crazy or both. But now we see she is crazy like a fox. I liked tribal council this time around.

:wideeyes: holy lord, that reward challenge. I think the producers probably should have saved that one for a less-hot day, or not made it as long and exhausting as it was. Poor Caleb, I'm glad they put the note up afterwards that he has recovered and is okay, because he did not look good and was barely responding to anything. Didn't even get any final words (unless they'll show them at the end). I'm glad Cydney and Debbie are both okay, that was so scary when one was going down after another and they didn't have enough medical staff to tend to all of them at once.

Jason and Scot are huge asshats and bullies. I didn't see anything wrong with Alecia's comments, and frankly, she was the only one left digging while everyone else sat down to rest. She's also given all of the challenges 100%, despite being dragged over the coals by her tribe left and right for this, that, and who knows what other bogus things. Go her. I like her a heck of a lot more now than the first few episodes. Debbie is also someone who I am liking more as the episodes go on.

Still trying to get the Tai love.. I can see why so many people like him, though.
