Survivor: Game Changers (Season 34)

Were I on the island, delusional Debbie might be finding a snake in her bed. She's completely bonko.

Finally watched and yes, The Queen lives another day!! I freaking love her! I still think enough people will finally wise up and she'll never make it to the Finals, but damn I will be rooting hard for her to do so! I'm guessing Sandra and Michaela worked out that little banter at Council where it seemed like they were saying they were voting out Michaela in case JT had an Idol, when in fact they were going to vote out JT, to make him confident that they weren't voting for him. At least that's the way I interpreted it. And Michaela sippin' on her water when Jeff goes to read the vote was hilarious. I love it when people get booted holding Idols! And did JT say he didn't even bring it with him to Council? Even better.

And did JT say he didn't even bring it with him to Council? Even better.

In one of his boot interviews, JT said that he had hidden the idol pretty far away from camp because everyone went through everyone else's things every day checking for idols, and that everyone was out looking for idols in the surrounding woods all the time, too. He didn't have time to go get the idol without making it pretty obvious what he was doing, so he decided to gamble that he was safe and just leave it where it was (and he figures still is).

I couldn't figure out what Debbie was talking about. She was the one who screwed up previous challenge, wasn't she? She wanted to do that part of the challenge, didn't she? Was she just ranting like a crazy person to get attention? She is just crazy. I really hope she is voted out soon, because I want her off my TV.

While watching all of this mess, I was wondering, could this be strategy? Debbie wants to make Brad look like a threat even though the negative things she is saying about him aren't what anybody is really seeing? It was smart of him to get close to the group who all left their campfire area to attend to Debbie, so he know what was being said...but remaining quiet for the most part. Anyway, with Debbie, I wondered if she might be trying to make him look like a target? And making herself NOT look like a target in that people will start disliking her, which is somebody you want sitting next to you finale night.

Sandra is the queen. Will she win again? She might considering all of them are really stupid so far. Her edit is really great so far.
I would have kept Malcom a bit longer. I miss him. I miss seeing how stupid JT is now. I didn't think he was until his second game around still, it's baffling he won his first right?

I think the game has evolved a lot since JT won in 2008. Back then it was pretty much an alliance/challenge game - he had a good alliance, and he was good at challenges. He must've also had a decent social and under the radar game, because upon looking it up, I remember now that he was the first player to get to final TC with zero votes cast against him, and only the second - this was season 18 - to win the final unanimously.

I think Debbie was humiliated by her performance (or lack thereof) in the challenge and just lashed out because she couldn't deal with her failure. I don't think it was strategic at all :shuffle:.

JT was a really likeable guy who made an alliance early on with a great strategist (Stephen) who wasn't as personable. JT's win wasn't a surprise at all at the time; people weren't even terribly surprised that his win was unanimous.

Well he was lucky the first time out. Still he didn't sound that stupid back then. It's his third show, and he sounds even more stupid this time around.

I want Malcolm back and Sandra OUT OUT OUT.

Dang, I thought Sandra might pull that out after all. Oh well, she left it all on the field and seemed gracious in defeat, an entirely new experience for her in this game. I'll miss her unique perspective, thought process, and entertainment value for the remainder of the season, since we won't even get to hear from her on the jury, but I like Varner and think Sandra's departure may open a path for him. Almost everybody else has some quality that could make them a bigger target than him, and he seems to have a manner that would allow him to stay under the radar but not necessarily be perceived as a coattail rider. He's giving me a vibe like Jeremy in his second season, so maybe things will work out similarly for him.

Oh how I was *so very much* hoping Sandra would have survived that! Very deservingly received applause as she got her torch snuffed. She'll still go down as the winningest player as of yet, so she has that going for her. I think she had to know she wasn't going to win for a 3rd time coming in, so surviving as many tribal councils as she did is quite an accomplishment.

I could have used without seeing Cochran again. The segment with Debbie on Exile Luxury Yacht lasted way too long.

Tai is truly terrible at this game. He can find idols. That's it.

For anyone counting: Cirie is the only player to not have gone to TC yet.

Damn. Damn damn damn damn damn. For a minute there, when Tai did not play either of his Idols, I got excited thinking The Queen may have pulled it off yet again. I would have loved to see Tai get voted out with TWO Idols in his pocket. I knew it was too good to last though, but boy was that a great Tribal. I would have loved to at least see Sandra on the Jury, to see what kind of shenanigans she could have pulled off at the Finals with her questions/statements. Oh what could have been. I shall shed a single tear for The Queen tonight. I will miss her. :p

And Debbie better keep her mouth shut about what Exile Island was really all about. I would go back and tell them it was horrible, couldn't start a fire, couldn't catch any fish, it was cold and miserable, couldn't get any sleep, bugs were terrible, blah blah blah. Don't go back and gloat about being all well fed and energized and rested. I hope she's at least that smart. And by gawd keep your mouth shut about that extra vote!!! I would not tell a SOUL about that vote until the minute I handed it to Jeff to claim it! But then again ... its Debbie, so who knows what she will do.

I am bummed Sandra got voted out - for 2 reasons:
1-Tai deserved to go, he is an awful player - and Sandra at least is entertaining and she gets the game I so wanted Tai to get voted out like James with 2 idols!!! (and I love shirtless James!!). I do think, in his own way - Tai was playing hard at TC.
2-I wanted to see Sandra bounce Debbie out of the game - I can just imagine that Sandra would have no tolerance for someone like Debbie.
Sandra is correct about the trio of Tai, Debbie and Aubry

and a 3rd reason - thanks BaileyCatts - Sandra would have been interesting on jury.

How quickly will Debbie blab about what Exile really is. I can not believe she would keep quiet.
I am a Cochrane fan - I would have fan girled him. I felt like he was being quite kind to Debbie - but yes the segment was way to long.

I agree - Varner could be in a good place - not a physical threat - so many others have that. I hope he at least makes jury. To me he just seems like a very nice person.
Loving this season!!!!

Only problem is that she doesn't know if Exile Island will be a one-time deal or will Reward Challenge losers have a team member sent, like in prior years. She shouldn't brag, but she shouldn't get caught in a lie either. Just say that she doesn't want to discuss it or it was lonely part of the time.

I'm really happy she's out because she made MY Malcolm go.
This season will be nearly as bad as the one where a Brian won, a very long time ago.

I would've liked to see Sandra on the jury - she probably would have decided the winner single handedly.

Poor Cochran looked like he would have liked anyone else but her to be on that boat!

I'm glad Sandra is gone if for no other reason than they might show other people now for a change. I forgot Cirie was even there this season, for example.

I know - he's all supportive and understanding and was sent there to help a contestant get ahead, and she doesn't have any problems or insecurities or anybody she doesn't get along with and knows everything. Sheesh. :-)

See, this is why I could never play Survivor (well, there's that whole "outside" thing too :P ). I didn't even think about someone else might be going and then comes back and tells the truth! Didn't even occur to me at all. I do still hope she keeps quiet about the Extra Vote though, because if the wrong people know she has it, it really won't do much good because they can manipulate voting to make sure her Extra Vote doesn't matter.

I missed last week and the first couple minutes this week - I saw the clips of Debbie freaking out, and then next thing she's standing by herself. Was that by draw, or was it schoolyard pick? If it was the latter, she should have taken the challenge advantage to share with her new tribe as a gesture of good will. If it was by draw, she probably made the right choice if she can shut up about it, or share it very strategically.

I imagine only Tai would have taken the fake Idol kit

But for Exile, I also thought that Debbie should lie about it or at least tone it down. No one wants to hear that you had a huge time, ate well, likely showered and slept well too, not to mention the visit with Cochran that might make them all suspicious of what he told her or gave her.

If someone else goes - and this seems to be a season of random mishmash things from the past, so it might not happen again - then they're simply in on the secret with her, and I could see the second person not saying a word either.

Or what if this happens - the next Exile Island turns out to be much less a reward than a punishment as it's been in the past, or more like Redemption where two people go and only one comes back.

^^ They picked new buffs to get their Teams, so it was just luck of the draw that Debbie got booted to Exile Island.

So, who has the winner edit now with the queen gone ? :)

Hard to answer, as some people have not been shown much, like Cirie - but don't count her out.
But to me so, good editing for: Hali, Culpepper(?), Andrea (not much, but some - she is awesome in challenges)
Aubry (not good, but in similar situation like last time, at the bottom, and kept surviving - they could highlight that as the season progresses),
Varner - with so many physical threats?? Troyzan??
and in some ways - still not sure.

Andrea and Aubry seem so invisible at this stage though.

i was reading some spoilers, will not divulge, but sounds like something crazy, on a personal level(hurtful) will happen tonight.
