Stars on Ice Spring 2026 Tour - U.S. and Canada

I went to the Wilkes-Barre show on Friday, pretty much a sellout except for maybe top couple rows on either end of the bowl. all the boxes on the upper level had people in them. Really great show, had to be 2-1/2 hours with a 20 minute intermission.

Alysa's Promise program is just as mesmerizing in person as on tv. I loved seeing that transition Amber does into her toe loop live. I think Ilia did 7 backflips if I counted right. Those 3 got the loudest cheers of course but also Danny and Ellie I would say. Their lifts really are spectacular, I heard alot of buzz about them in the parking lot on the way out!

I thought we might be getting punked about Emi and Vadym being there. They weren't introduced at the beginning of the show like everybody else. But they came out right after the intermission and did a beautiful set after being introduced as the World Broze medalists. Sounds like it was their first SOI show so they didn't do any cast numbers.

Like Deegee said Jason has the most visible skating skills compared to the other skaters. He had the best showmanship, lady next to me said he reminded her of Scott Hamilton and I agreed. I wondered if he had some hand in the choreography of the cast numbers because I noted him checking on the others positioning too. His joy of skating and smile reached the rafters.

Most fun moments: the USA team showing off their medals while the crowd chanted USA! Alysa re-creating her "Thats what I'm taking about!" moment while getting bleeped by Madi 😂. Ilia giving high fives to some spectators seated on the floor. (Whole cast did it at the end of the show too!) Being able to see Emi and Vadym live cuz I'm hoping I can say I saw the OGM of the future 😊.

Amber has also reported that there were men following Alysa & Isabeau around during the Japan SOI leg of the tour - no idea if that was at the arena or while they were on their own during their down time.

I got the impression that the incident Amber talked about in Japan waa out on the street in public while they were just hanging out.
Alysa talked about this in an interview. She and Isabeau were walking arm in arm down the street in Japan and some men were following them and then stopping in front of them. Mama Amber stepped in and told them to get back.

Here's the interview. Alysa talks quite a bit about the intrusion she experiences and her attempts to keep some privacy:

Well, at least Alysa, Isabeau, and Amber have a sense of humor about the security issues. They've incorporated it into the show at the end of their Golden number, with security being called on Jason and Torgy:

Sounds like the Toronto show scheduled for Friday night is getting bumped to Saturday because an NBA playoff game got scheduled Friday night.

And because of this Hamilton that was scheduled for Saturday night has to be moved as well. This sounds like a tremendous cluster**** to have to move two shows.

Maybe I’m wrong about this, but I have to assume that if the ticket sales had been stronger, the shows wouldn’t have been up for debate on being moved because of basketball. I remember a few years ago hockey fans getting mad that a longer than expected number of days between play off games was going to happen in some city because there was a sold out Wiggles show at one of the arenas that was already booked and it wasn’t going to be moved (if it wasn’t the Wiggles it was some other kind of children’s show). Very few of the sections in the Toronto venue were even open to buy tickets in, so this was probably low hanging fruit to be bumped. Really weird though that they are going down the path of moving a second show though.

Here's the official information about rescheduling of Toronto and Hamilton shows:

Like for the Montreal Canadiens (NHL), the Toronto Raptors must have in their contract that they get precedence over any other activity. And no matter how many tickets CSOI would've sold, it would never be more than an NBA game rakes in, especially a series one.

If I had tickets to the show though, I would be royally annoyed.

I haven't bought tickets yet to the Toronto show, but now that it's on Saturday night, other half and I can actually go. But yeah, I'm sure there will be a number of people who will be completely inconvenienced by the change of date. It also means that the skaters have to come back to Ontario after their BC tour dates.

I think the bigger inconvenience is not having to come back east (everyone on the tour lives in eastern Canada, AFAIK) but that it's 3 days after the original last show in Victoria. I imagine that some may have had vacation plans already in place and may now have to reschedule those plans.

Two years ago the SOI shows in Edmonton and Vancouver had to be rescheduled because of NHL playoffs, so this isn't anything new. But that doesn't make it any less annoying for the people who have tickets and now have to change their plans.

I think Kaetlyn is the only one who lives in western Canada.

Keegan will have a longer trek home too.

It doesn't have to be plans for a long vacation that are changed: it could be a few planned extra days to see family and friends who live and train in the Victoria/Vancouver areas. Like getting to spend time with KMT/Firus and seeing their baby.

This impacts me directly. I have tickets to the Hamilton SOI show. Luckily, I am not away for once over the new weekend when the show was moved to; I'm just away the weekend in-between. Still very annoying and I need to make sure it doesn't pose scheduling issues for my Mom either.

I went to the Ottawa show and enjoyed it. Though I can't say the sight lines on the accessible seat I was in were the best.
A lot of my thoughts on the show run along similar lines to @honey
I think this is probably some of the best group numbers in several years.
I generally am a Lajoie/Lagha fan, and was happy to see them live. But I wasn't all that imoressed with the number and I don't think the costumes went with the number either.

^^^ Last night in Queens, NY ;):

No one can deny that the members of the United States figure skating team are elite athletes. Throwing a pitch, however, might not be part of their skill set.

Several members of the 2026 U.S. figure skating team, including members of the gold medal-winning team from Milan, appeared at Citi Field on Thursday. The group then threw out the ceremonial first pitch — or pitches — ahead of the New York Mets’ game against the Washington Nationals, in a series of chaotic, entertaining attempts.

First up was pairs skater Ellie Kam and Danny O’Shea, with Kam lobbing the ball from atop O’Shea’s shoulders, where it went well wide of Andrew Torgashev. Then the “Quad God,” Ilia Malinin, threw a ball slightly more on frame to Torgashev — who dropped it.

Ice dancer Emilea Zingas was lifted by partner Vadym Kolesnik in preparation to receive a pitch from Amber Glenn. Glenn did a graceful jump before throwing a pretty terrible pitch that went high over Zingas’ glove.

The only successful pitch from the whole group went from Evan Bates, part of the silver medal-winning ice dancing duo, to skater Jason Brown. Bates lobbed an overhand pitch that landed in Brown’s glove, which the pair quickly celebrated.

When I was a child watching the early 60’s Mets on TV, I thought there was a pretty small chance that a professional baseball could catch a fly ball.

We got a glimpse of the range of Ilia’s talent last year with his To Build a Home exhibition at Worlds, and this year his programs at SOI and his skating in the group numbers continue to reveal that he’s far more than just a jumper, he’s a very talented performer who’s not afraid to take some risks. I mean, Skating to Lose Yourself took a lot of humility and courage, IMO.

Here at Hershey, show starts in an hour. Came early for the Stargazer time. It was very controlled and I did not see anyone trying to sneak backstage. All the skaters practiced except Ilia (unless he left the ice before i got in, arena didn't start letting people in until almost 4 even though arrival time was listed as 3:30, grrr). The ice dance teams all did a rotational lift in unison. Christina and Emilea were wearing identical "New York" t-shirts. :)

K/O did the Q&A....Ellie mentioned that this season was challenging due to Danny's foot surgeries in the off-season and also said that she got "the worst concussion of my life" right after Danny got back on the ice....yikes. I don't think i knew that...I hope she is OK.

PSA: If your kid can't sit still for more than 10 min, SOI, or at least the Stargazer portion, might not be the right place for them.

While getting my meet & greet pass, there was another guy at Guest Services complaining about obstructed view seats. I've seen other comments online about fans in other cities having similar issues. And this show is sold out, so I don't know where else that guy can go. :(

ETA: Per IG, it looks like Ilia was having a reunion with his cats during practice time. :)
