Are you talking about US SOI or CAN SOI?

US SOI has definitely had good crowds and it's a massive increase in attendance from at least the last decade if not longer.

Hertz Arena in Estero/Fort Myers has a capacity of about 7100 and looked pretty well filled to the rafters.
Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise/Fort Lauderdale (home of the FL Panthers) has a capacity of just over 19k for hockey and while it wasn't sold out, ticket sales were strong enough to have filled the lower two bowls and about 1/3 of the upper bowl from the videos I saw online.
Kia Center in Orlando (home of the Orlando Magic) has a capacity of just over 17k for hockey and it wasn't quite as full as Amerant Bank Arena the night before, but there were still fans sitting in some sections of the upper bowl.
Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville SC has a hockey capacity of 14k and from the videos tonight it looked like only the ends of the upper bowl weren't filled.

So, right now, they're easily performing for 12-15k depending on the size of the arena.

First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro NC has the largest capacity of the venues so far, coming in at 22k, and based on what's showing as available on Ticketmaster, it won't be anywhere close to sold out, but it's still going to have a sizable crowd.

Going through the rest of the arenas -
Mohegan Arena at Casey Plaza (Wilkes-Barre PA) - 8300
Agannis Arena (Boston) - 6200
MVP Arena (Albany NY) - 14k
MassMutual Center (Springfield MA) - 6800
Amica Mutual Pavilion (Providence) - 11k
Prudential Center (Newark - home of the NJ Devils) - 16,500
Giant Center (Hershey) - 10,500
UBS Arena (Elmont NY - home of the NY Islanders) - 17k
Blue Cross Arena (Rochester NY) - 10,700
Enterprise Center (St Louis - home of the St Louis Blues & host for Nats this year) - 18k
Allstate Arena (Rosemont IL) - 16,700
Grand Casino Arena (St Paul MN - home of the MN Wild) - 18k
Blue FCU Arena (Loveland CO) - 5100
Maverik Center (West Valley City UT - host for 2027 Nats) - 10k
Honda Center (Anaheim - home of the Anaheim Ducks) - 17k
SAP Center (San Jose - home of the SJ Sharks) - 17,400
Numerica Veterans Arena (Spokane) - 10,300
Town Toyota Center (Wenatchee WA) - 4300
Climate Pledge Arena (Seattle - home of the Seattle Kraken) - 17k
Veterans Memorial Coliseum (Portland) - 10k
Mullett Arena (Tempe AZ) - 5k
Credit Union of TX Event Center 2 shows (Allen TX - host for SkAm 2023 & 2024) - 6300
Landers Center (Southaven MS) - 8500

It will be interesting to see how well the tickets sell as the tour progresses but from what I've seen, from the first four shows, the crowds are large and enthusiastic.
Out of curiosity, I just checked the Portland, OR show that I'm attending, and it seems to be sold out. The only available tickets are "resale" tickets. I got on ice seats for $231 each when they went on sale, and now they are over $900 :)

I wonder they will broadcast the US Stars On Ice this year on TV or Peacock.
The last time I remember SOI being broadcast on TV was the 90s. So far, we haven't heard anything about a broadcast this year, so I would doubt it.

And I would think if Nick Zaccardi's interviews were part of an NBC broadcast, they would have a nicer background than a cement wall.

NBC Sports posted interviews (on Youtube) with the Stars on Ice cast today. They interviewed them in Greenville, South Carolina. We can only hope. Alysa is a hot commodity right now.

SOI was broadcast on tv well into the 2000s. I think 2005 was the last time the full show was broadcast in the U.S. but a 1 hour clip show was on NBC for a few years after that as well. It was also consistently broadcast in Canada up until 2023.

It would be nice if they filmed this year’s show in the USA given the hype and success. Seems like it would probably do ok for NBC, though we’re getting into the warmer months now and skating likely isn’t top of mind. In Canada, CBC used to film the show in the spring and then wait until December to air it every year.

There could legitimately be enough interest with a few key players signed on to do some shows in the fall and winter like they used to back in the day. Lots of decisions I’m sure to be made on who wants to keep competing and who has some financial opportunities in a professional setting if they wish to do it.
When SOI was doing shows in the fall and winter, it was all professionals. They toured in the winter, and Champions on Ice had the Olympic eligible skaters tour in the summer. I'm not sure they could get enough big name skaters who are no longer competing to tour in the winter. I doubt USFS would sanction a winter tour with Ilia and Alysa; they want those skaters training and competing. They probably should have extended this spring tour a week or two but it may have been too late.

As an aside, I think having the three women do that Golden number was also very smart. I know they were getting dragged after the first show for the choreo being messy, but the girlies have gotten their shit together remarkably fast and the number looks very cool now. It’s well choreographed and is going to go over well in person and online. Good marketing to put your three leading ladies front and centre like that.
It's hard to put all those group numbers together in such a short time. Amber said she wasn't happy with her performance in the group numbers in the first few shows. And she said she blanked during Golden. But, they definitely put the work in to make it better by the second week. And, yeah, smart move to have a fun program to a super popular song.

Crazy sales across the board for the shows. The arena was like 12-13K maximum capacity and it looked nearly if not sold out. Watching the viral TikToks, it seems that's par for the course for every other showing beforehand. This is my first year for Stars on Ice, have sales always been this crazy? They're practically going to go on a nearly sold-out arena tour 🤣
Most of the stops are sold out b/c everyone wants to see Alysa Liu. This Alysa Liu mania is crazy b/c she won Olympic gold. When she won Worlds last year, I don't think there was as much buzz. SOI wasn't selling out shows. I don't think any American Olympic gold skater has been able to draw ticket sales like Alysa Liu. Nathan Chen, Davis/White, Evan Lysacek (was he on SOI?), Sarah Hughes, Tara Lipinski all weren't able to sell out shows. Even if Ilia Malinin won Olympic gold and Alysa got the silver, I bet the tickets wouldn't nearly be as sold out. Let's see how long the Alysa Liu mania lasts. Probably the last American female skater that had this much hype is Michelle Kwan.
