I was also in London and was laughing as hard as Tessa when Scott wiped out (right in front of our section). What a treat to see Moulin Rouge again. I loved how theatrical they made it. I couldn't get over the change in Patrick, how he skated with abandon, especially the BNL number, just beaming and flying around the ice. As my friend put it, like a huge weight had been lifted off his shoulders. The Olympic group number was fantastic, the London crowd ate Scott & Tessa up, and Elvis, as always, gets huge crowd reaction. He is skating better than ever. Special shout outs to Jeff's & Kaetlyn's numbers in the first half, as they were exquisite. Javier was a delight to have in the cast this year. Eric & Meghan, Kaitlyn & Andrew, and Gabby were also great, and it was so cool to hear the reactions of the casual fans in the audience. The woman beside me was gasping at some of the tricks - I don't think she'd ever seen live skating at this level before. I wish I'd thought to attend another Ontario show because once wasn't enough.

Super show in Winnipeg last night. Best seats I have ever had. Canada has been so lucky to have these hard-working skaters.

The speed of these skaters is something else. A couple of off-balance landings in the first half and a couple of unexpected hands down on mitf but no falls and the landings were really cleaned up in the second half. For once I even enjoyed Elvis - maybe because for the first time I didn't have uber fan-boy Rod Black's incessant fawning playing inside my head at the same time.

I have never seen the arena so full for Stars on Ice and I was there for the tour after 2010 Olympics too - absolutely packed to the rafters with only empty single seats here and there.

Aside from the expected response to Tessa & Scott and Elvis, as well as Patrick's Jet's Jersey, the crowd went really nuts for Meagan and Eric's second-half number. Somehow my biggest surprise of the night was seeing how small Javi is. I know Eric and Andrew are exceptionally tall for skaters but somehow I have always thought of Javi as one of the bigger male skaters but I think even Kaetlyn is taller. I was really impressed with Gabby's showmanship. She has come so far and must have really put a lot of work into it.

I'm wondering if the publicity Tessa and Scott got after they won the GM prompted some interest in skating shows. Apparently their FD was rebroadcast the following day, not only in Canada but throughout the world.

I went to the Calgary show and as huge as the saddle dome is it was packed. The audience was super loud and very appreciative. Not really enough adjectives to describe how great it was. I really loved so many of the special, group numbers. We are truly so fortunate to have so many fantastic skaters and such a rich heritage they will leave. Just amazing!

Just back from Victoria CSOI. I would like to know who choreographed Elvis's programs. Jeff? His first number was excellent and a change from his usual stuff. I thought I detected Jeff's hand in it.

I am teeming with excitement for the show tomorrow in Vancouver! How early would everyone recommend to arrive? In past years, I've arrived about half hour before show but there were never any line ups.

Good question @ss1! Also, how long is the show? Wondering if I can park in my work lot which locks up at 10pm.

Thanks all!

In Winnipeg the show started at 7 pm and we were out well before 10 pm. We needed a bit of time to get through all the security but I think probably took less than 10 minutes + 10 minutes to make our way through the crowds to our seats. Very efficient for such a full arena. I know it was mentioned that security took forever in Toronto but I think events still had to be very much on high alert at the time, unfortunately.

I believe that the arena itself is recommending early arrival due to delays in some other facilities.

The Vancouver show was full to the brim! I have seen SOI many times and this was the fullest yet- the causal skating fans were there thanks to tessa and scott- I loved how the crowd really acknowledged Patrick, meg and Erik and Tessa and Scott- all standing ovations! it was bittersweet for me knowing they are retiring.... but amazing to think of the Olympic and world titles represented. we have some great skaters in canada!

If CSOI 2019 doesn't have an opening or closing number to "The Greatest Show" from the musical "The Greatest Showman" I will be so disappointed.

The song is perfect for a skating show.

Glad you like it but for me it is almost at the very top of my list of songs I never want to hear again and I am already cringing over how many skaters will use it this upcoming season.

Edited to add - maybe I have made a mistake - is this a different song than the Oscar nominated one from the show? I thought the name is "This is me" so maybe you refer to a different tune.

Same movie but different song.

I also like "This is Me" but it wasn't the song I was referring to.

The Greatest Show.
