Big collision between Datiev and Verhaegh during the warm-up. She had trouble getting up and looked very woozy. He saw her coming and tried to avoid her but she slammed right into him. We'll see if they can actually skate.

I thought he got a bloody nose or something in the middle of the program because he definitely stopped skating the choreography for a few seconds and then they awkwardly skated around.

The program tends to stay in the middle of the ice, and not making full use of the ice surface. The combination lifts were the highlight of the program.

-1.00 = Time Violation
79.85 = 1st Place
125.63 = 1st Place

Ritter's back in the layback position in the pairs dance spin was the only thing that I really loved about that program. :shuffle: The whole program seems like too much mashed together that doesn't work all that great.

What is this program? I don't know the music but the whole look and vibe is giving "Twilight." Am I way off base about it?

Was there enough time for a concussion protocol?
Probably not. The time schedule only allows for 7-ish minutes for each FD, plus the collision happened with about 2 minutes left in the warm-up, then maybe 1 minute for everyone to exit the ice. All told they had about 10 minutes from the collision to taking their starting position.

Rant about the overhead camera angle - they did some sort of interesting move just before the start of the diagonal step sequence, but we couldn't see it properly because of the high camera angle. What we could see of the skating there were unique movements in the choreography, but there were a few dodgy moments, and sloppy execution.

-1.00 = Extended Lifts
79.39 = 2nd Place
127.54 = 1st Place

It's too bad they had to skate so early in this group after the collision. Lots of voidy moves in this program, would be nice to see how it develops later in the season, even if they aren't the most refined skaters.

that sia song was on the twilight soundtrack says google
I was too lazy to look it up and I'm rather proud of myself for correctly guessing it was a "Twilight" program seeing as I'm too cool to have ever read a single one of those books or watched any of the movies, lol.

Look, Harlow - you don't get a pass for a tango FD just because you're wearing a purple dress rather than a red one. Ya'll have a long ways to go to be at the TurkVers level that allows me to overlook the fact that I generally hate tango FS/FDs.

Is this Loena’s free program music?

I know it’s somebody’s.
You know, if you click on the skater's name on the results page, you're taken to their ISU bio and you can see the music titles & find out for yourself.

But, no, they're not the same.

Oh dear, this poor Mexican skater, Seiji looks so delicate. She overpowers him so much. Then he does a half splat on the choreo steps. :(

Very rough skate - not together, and struggling to complete the elements, and that was before he fell on the character step sequence right in front of the judges.
